In what appears to be an effort to diffuse the disgust of voters by the mainstream media and the scandal plagued Democrat Candidate Stacey Abrams, a number of articles and her own campaign statement have defended Abrams for her ‘activism’ in 1992.
That was when she burned the Georgia state flag on the steps of the capitol because it was ‘viewed as a symbol of white supremacy.’
The image of her hateful act circulated on social media last night, the day before her first debate with GOP Candidate Brian Kemp.
Kemp has rightly (many people agree) said that Abrams is too ‘extreme’ for the Southern state.
Democrats are hoping that Abrams wins, because she’d be the first Black Governor in the nation, but many people disdain such race politics, and think that the best person should be elected, not their skin color.
In addition to burning the flag, Abrams has also called for the removal of the giant Confederate carving on Stone Mountain, a granite outcropping east of Atlanta.
While many people agree that ‘rewriting’ history to suit politically correct feelings is wrong, Abrams apparently has no problem with the Orwellian idea.
After the photo was released, her campaign sent out a statement that read, “During Stacey Abrams’ college years, Georgia was at a crossroads, struggling with how to overcome racially divisive issues, including symbols of the Confederacy, the sharpest of which was the inclusion of the Confederate emblem in the Georgia state flag.”
How she would know that illegals were going to vote in U.S. elections is anyone’s guess.
Likewise, there is a question about why she refuses to disclose ‘donors’ who contributed millions to her campaign.
Conservative Daily Post previously reported:
In fact, Abrams is also in massive personal debt, and recently claimed that she “didn’t know” how credit cards worked as an excuse.
Abrams, who is running against Republican nominee Brian Kemp and allegedly has connections to liberal billionaire George Soros, refusing to be transparent with Georgia voters has raised serious questions about why she is protecting the source of the funds.
This is also the same woman who has been leading efforts to target “low propensity” voters, yet it appears that efforts from the two organizations has had no effect on turning out black voters. So, where is the money going?
So, burning the flag seems directly in line with her other democrat characteristics, to many voters.
And, it appears that she feels fine with excusing the act based on ‘feelings’ and the ‘outcome.’
The debate tonight will definitely have more spice after this revelation.
