A police officer with direct knowledge of the felony assault case against Weinstein said officers are waiting for the order from the district attorney.
“We’re ready to go with an arrest,” the officer said.
“It’s his case right now,” Boyce said, referring to the district attorney. “I would ask you to ask him.”
The NYPD’s criminal case involves allegations from Boardwalk Empire actress Paz de la Huerta, who said Weinstein raped her on two separate occasions in 2010.
Officers claim to have a recording of Weinstein confessing to assaulting the actress and many other women.
The allegations were detailed in a bombshell report from The New York Times in October, which revealed more than 30 women had accused Weinstein of sexual assault and harassment.
The allegations dated back decades, where several women said he raped them and paid others “hush money” to never speak about what he did to them.
As the NYPD gears up to hold Weinstein accountable, many liberals have refused to condemn the disgraced movie producer because he has donated millions to Democrats for decades.
He donated to both former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama for years to advance their far-left agendas.
Clinton was also warned several times about Weinstein’s disturbing behavior and actions, but she refused to distance herself from him because he was funneling money into her coffers.
Many would agree he deserves to go to prison for all of the women he harmed.
