Last night, after Iran launched ballistic missiles at U.S. forces in Iraq, Nancy Pelosi was living it up attending a restaurant opening in Washington, D.C. Sure, she took the time to ‘tweet’ that she “monitoring” the situation, but it was mainly designed to put the blame on President Trump.
Forget the fact that the regime in Tehran was already planning such strikes before the president ordered a precision attack that killed a known terrorist, Pelosi couldn’t resist getting her little attack and then return immediately to her elitist lifestyle.
Moreover, reports confirm that rather than take a call from Mike Pence concerning notification of the attacks, Pelosi said “tell him I’ll call him back.”
“Tell him I’ll call him back,” Pelosi said to an aide who handed her a note that the vice president was calling her during a meeting, opting to not immediately take the phone call as U.S. bases in Iraq were under attack and instead call the vice president back.
In meeting tonight Speaker Pelosi was handed a note telling her VP Pence was on the phone.
“Tell him I’ll call him back,” she said according to sources in room, noting she had to go open the House for new session.
Two minutes later, she was handed note about air base bombing.

“Speaker Pelosi is an embarrassment and unfit for office,” Cheney wrote as she retweeted a photo that allegedly showed Pelosi at the restaurant in Washington’s Navy Yard neighborhood.
“Closely monitoring the situation following bombings targeting U.S. troops in Iraq,” Pelosi tweeted before she was photographed at Danny Meyer’s Maialino Mare restaurant. “We must ensure the safety of our servicemembers, including ending needless provocations from the Administration and demanding that Iran cease its violence. America & world cannot afford war.”
Many people argue that such a clear disregard for the lives of Americans is typical of a democrat party that was eager to punish President Trump for doing his job in taking out an enemy combatant.
Washingtonian food editor Anna Spiegel, who took the photo of Pelosi at the restaurant opening, later tweeted that the speaker was at the event for only about 10 minutes.
In a tweet posted Tuesday evening, just minutes after news reports that over a dozen missiles fired from Iran had hit bases where U.S. troops are housed, and before military officials had assessed the battle damage: Pelosi accused the Trump administration of “needless provocations” and declared that America “cannot afford war” with Iran:
Closely monitoring the situation following bombings targeting U.S. troops in Iraq. We must ensure the safety of our servicemembers, including ending needless provocations from the Administration and demanding that Iran cease its violence. America & world cannot afford war.

She was reportedly meeting with her House caucus when she was informed about the attacks:
NEWS: I’m told @SpeakerPelosi was handed a note inside a House Democratic Caucus meeting just now about the missile attacks that Iran is now claiming responsibility for. She then left the room.

The tweet continued the theme Pelosi expounded in a letter Sunday to Democratic colleagues, in which she said Trump’s successful airstrike last week on Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, the leader of the terrorist Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who was responsible for hundreds of American deaths and recent attacks on the U.S. embassy in Baghdad, was “provocative and disproportionate.”
She also announced legislation designed to limit the Trump administration’s ability to respond militarily to whatever retaliatory action Iran would take.
Pelosi’s aim appears to be to portray the president as a national security risk, too dangerous to leave in office, as she pursues his impeachment and removal. She is also arguing for an alternative policy — one that effectively surrenders to Iran. She and her party appear to believe that losing a war to Iran is an acceptable cost if Trump can be deposed.
Of course, leftists have long been all for appeasement of evil regimes, so why should these socialists be any different.
