UN Official Blames EU For Migrant Problems, Demands Fix

He is demanding changes even though the countries are overwhelmed.

Filippo Grandi is adamant about how Europe must handle migrants.

The fringe liberals in control of the United Nations refuse to help mitigate the migrant crisis destroying Europe. U.N. refugee chief Filippo Grandi bluntly to European Leaders this week that they had no choice to prepare themselves for more migrant arrivals.

“Third, we need to work more with Europe, and other countries that receive refugees, to make reception systems more effective for larger numbers than before. This was the big failure in 2015 and 2016. The system [in Europe] was designed for much smaller flows and cracked under the pressure,” Grandi admitted to Refugees Deeply in Davos.

“One of the main perceptions was that states were not able to handle these flows, and this caused a lot of negativity. If you’re not able [to handle the numbers], push refugees back, close borders, build a wall. Wealthy states, especially European states, can handle these flows, but of course, it requires an effort.”

Grandi’s glib words belie the situation on the ground in Europe. The mass migration that has occurred in the past few years has put an enormous strain on the continent. Peaceful, sleepy neighborhoods have been inundated with failed asylum seekers and wannabe extremists.

Countries like Hungary and Poland grew so tired of the constant invasions that they’ve been forced to erect walls and deploy guards along their borders. Swedes are now battling “no-go zones,” areas where even the police are afraid to tread into.

Yet, despite the glaring problems associated with mass illegal immigration, UN chief Grandi still expects countries to throw open their borders. Liberals are so desperate to prove their immigration theories correct that often ignore evidence that doesn’t suit them.

“One is that the European reception system is really not designed for large numbers,” Grandi complained.

“This system has never really had an effective way to manage those who are rejected as asylum seekers… We’re working with European institutions to do that, but it is a difficult discussion because of the politicization of refugees.”

The UN is struggling to reach an agreement with European leaders regarding the resettlement refugees because the UN only cares about the refugees. Grandi admits that: “We cannot risk any involuntary return… It would be dangerous for people to be repatriated against their will.”

It’s “dangerous” to allow rejected asylum seekers to live like legal citizens. The immigration process is long and complicated for a reason, people need to be thoroughly vetted. Countries that host large migrant populations have correspondingly high crime rates.

“Young women aged between 16 and 24 is the group that’s most subject to sexual offenses, with 14 percent of young women stating that they were victims of at least one such crime during 2016,” the Swedish Crime Prevention Council wrote in a report. “The most common reason for not reporting the crime is that the victim does not believe the police can do anything.”

Regular citizens feel helpless in the face of migrant violence. People are often afraid to speak up because they’re worried that they’ll be labeled “racist.” Yet immigration concerns, at least those held by reasonable people, have nothing to do with race. All the colors of the rainbow are currently streaming into Europe, dark-skinned Africans, blond-haired and blue-eyed Syrians, tanned south Asians.

Sweden, once famed for its peaceful environment, is now being rocked by gang violence.

“Today, the gang environment is — well, I don’t want to exactly call it the Wild West, but something in that direction,” said Amir Rostami, a professor who teaches about organized violence at Stockholm University.

People have become terrified of their own neighborhoods.

Integrating people into a foreign society is an expensive, time-consuming task. Liberal politicians are more than willing to allow migrants to enter foreign countries, but they falter when it comes to actually supporting the mass of people depending on them.

Migrants often fall prey to abusers because they have no other outlet.

“Nobody is dealing with human trafficking,” Mattias Sigfridsson, head of the Malmo police department, said. “We have no ability to do that right now — there are no staff.”

The head of Skane border police added: “There is basically nothing we can do… We have nothing to work with.”

Law enforcement is overwhelmed and citizens are scared.Yet the U.N. wants the E.U. to accept even more migrants.

The immigration debate is perhaps even more heated in Europe than it is in the U.S. Nothing will be accomplished until the left stops trying to run the government like a charity. Wealthy countries should be compassionate, which is why they accept refugees. Compassion shouldn’t be confused with stupidity, however.
