The arrests are connected to an ongoing investigation involving political workers (mostly democrats) recruiting people who did not live in the area to claim fraudulent addresses so they could vote there. They were already busted on election night saying that DACA illegals could vote.
Guadalupe Sanchez Garza, Araceli Gutierrez, Brenda Rodriguez, Rosendo Rodriguez, Cynthia Tamez, Ruby Tamez, Belinda Rodriguez, Felisha Yolanda Rodriguez and Jerry Gonzalez, Jr., will be prosecuted by the Hidalgo County DA’s Office, and were apprehended by the Texas Rangers, as well as the district attorney’s office.
“Illegal voting, particularly an organized illegal voting scheme orchestrated by political operatives, is an affront to democracy and results in corruption at the highest level,” Attorney General Ken Paxton said.
“Each illegal vote silences the voice of a law-abiding registered voter.
According to reports, a $1,000 bond has been set for Felisha Yolanda Rodriguez, and a $10,000 bond has been set for Araceli Gutierrez, Brenda Rodriguez, Rosendo Rodriguez, Belinda Rodriguez and Jerry Gonzalez, Jr.
The other suspects arrested have not had their bonds set yet.
More arrests are expected.
In a current political atmosphere that somehow seems to always involve democrats being busted for illegal activity, these arrests are just a drop in the bucket.
Florida is facing a re-count, and the person in charge was already found guilty of illegally destroying ballots in the 2016 congressional race.
More than ever, many people are begging the administration to make the ‘vote true’ and set up some sort of oversight—an independent oversight—committee that will help ensure that the only citizens who are actually registered to vote do.
