The Texas Democratic Party asked non-citizens to register to vote, sending out applications to immigrants with the box for citizenship already checked “Yes,” according to complaints filed Thursday.
The Public Interest Legal Foundation contacted authorities and the federal Justice Department about the pre-checked applications. They also delivered a signed affidavit from resident David C. Kifuri Jr, who witnessed some of his relatives, who aren’t citizens, getting the registration.
The complaint has not been taken lightly.
“This is how the Texas Democratic Party is inviting foreign influence in an election in a federal election cycle,” said Logan Churchwell, spokesman for the PILF.
The group spends its time policing voter registration practices in various states, and many people agree that there’s more proof of democrat election interference than any Russian.
The Texas secretary of state’s office confirmed that it received complaints from immigrants and relatives of dead people who avowed they’d been given the documents.
Governor Abbott said, “If true there will be serious consequences.”
The siren warning comes merely days after an ‘organized’ fraudulent voter ‘ring’ was busted in the state. Four women were indicted for orchestrating votes for democrats in the 2016 presidential election.
Texas state law “prohibits encouraging anyone to lie in their voter application form, but it will be up to the investigators to decide if pre-checking a box claiming the applicant is a U.S. citizen is a violation of the law.”
The PILF has previously found non-citizens on voter rolls in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia. The group explained that some non-citizens managed to cast their ballots.
“For instance, in 2017, the group said that nearly 5,600 people on the voter rolls in Virginia were deemed as non-citizens, with a third of them voting in previous elections.”
However, this case is different from California’s Motor voter program, which automatically signs people up using their driver’s license.
In Texas, the democrat party sent these registrations, which is seriously disturbing conduct, many people agree.
No new information about the investigation has been released, but many conservatives hope that such lying, unprincipled, corrupt acts are punished severely.
