In America today, some schools are banning Old Glory from being displayed on clothing, chanting “U.S.A.,” and apparently now, showing American pride. Now, supporting the Bill of Rights is grounds for being removed from class entirely, as CBS Sacremento has written today.
A Lodi High School history teacher from Lodi, California is said to have “targeted” teens who were wearing National Rifle Association T-shirts. While it should be permitted to wear clothing that promotes any of America’s God-given rights, the second amendment is again under fire as teens are indoctrinated against it. “She was basically being attacked in class,” stated the victim’s mother, Charlene Craig. It may be a ‘sensitive topic,’ but there wasn’t a firearm pictured on the clothing, a vital detail to note.
A pair of teens stood boldly for their basic rights and the teacher began preaching “that guns kill people” and voiced similar liberal talking points. To this, some have wondered what is wrong with liberal teachers such as this one.
“I think he’s there to teach. I don’t think he’s there to discuss his personal beliefs,” the concerned parent also said.
The problems arose in the class last Friday. “He basically yelled at her, telling her that she would be writing an essay if she disagreed with him,” Craig said of the teacher. It would seem that this instructor also has a problem with the first amendment.
The two teens in question have grown up with hunting and farming backgrounds, yet the history teacher felt that he needed to puff up by sending one student to the principal’s office when he would not remove his shirt nor turn it inside out. Craig was unhappy that her fifteen-year-old daughter had to endure a lecture for not having done anything wrong.
“That’s what she is, that’s what she does,” the mother said of her daughter’s clothing choices. “The dress code clearly states weapons” but this NRA shirt had no gun on it. Thankfully, some vindication came when the Lodi Unified School District admitted that “…the school administration reviewed the T-shirt in question and determined that it did not violate school dress code policy.”
“I am going [to] continue to send my daughter to school in it. I don’t see that there’s a problem,” the parent said. She does not think that any student deserves to be bothered over their political outlook(s).
The school, meanwhile, is rewording the dress code yet again to prevent this from taking place in the future. Most likely, the freedom to express support for the Bill of Rights will be further dampened to the point where guns can not even be alluded to; what is offensive will likely be decided at staff discretion, of course.
Somehow, America cannot seem to recall what the Hitler Youth was, how it was used to brainwash the minds of the young, or even how some of the same programming is happening today all over again.
For sure, a couple of Lodi teens noticed it, however.
