Supreme Court Declines To Hear Case, Effectively Forcing Arizona To Provide Driver’s Licenses To “DREAMers”

The court refused to hear the case so the lower court’s ruling that Arizona must give DACA recipients driver’s licenses stands.

Just recently, the Supreme Court refused to hear a case about whether or not the state of Arizona can deny driver’s licenses to “DREAMers,” which means the lower court’s decision, which ruled that the state cannot prevent them, will unfortunately stand.

Earlier this week, the United States Supreme Court refused to hear a case about whether or not the state of Arizona can deny driver’s licenses to undocumented immigrants who are currently protected by Obama’s controversial Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, otherwise known as “DREAMers.” By doing so, the lower court’s decision, which ruled that the state cannot prevent them, will unfortunately stand.

The justices on the Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal by the republicans in the state of Arizona to reverse a lower court’s ruling against Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s (R) decision to order state officials to stop issuing driver’s licenses to DACA recipients back in 2012 when the controversial program was first instituted.

In their appeal, the state argued that “its laws on driver’s licenses could not be overruled because DACA was enacted through a Department of Homeland Security memo instead of  congressional legislation.”

Despite this, the Supreme Court chose not to listen to what they have to say. As a result, the state of Arizona will now be forced to provide driver’s licenses to countless “DREAMers.”

The lower court’s decision to let DREAMers get driver’s licenses, however, is absolutely absurd and potentially dangerous. This is because, while it may be true that many “DREAMers” don’t commit additional crimes once they’re in the country, there are still those who do and they ruin it for everyone else.

For example, back in October 2017, Daniel De Jesus Rangel Sherrer, a 19-year-old DACA recipient, was arrested and charged with “first-degree murder” after he confessed to deputies at the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office to forcing Diana Martinez-Gonzalez, an 18-year-old high school student, into a wooded area and fatally shooting her multiple times in the head. Apparently, he killed her because she was supposedly spreading false rumors about him.

And before that, Salvador Diaz-Garcia, a 21-year-old “DREAMer” living in Washington, was also arrested after he brutally beat and raped a 19-year-old teen in her apartment complex’s gym.

Disturbingly, the vicious attack reportedly took place while the girl was finishing up a workout at the gym in her apartment. Although Diaz-Garcia wasn’t a resident in the building himself, he apparently managed to get into the gym by lying to the victim about his apartment number and asking to be let inside.

After the attack took place, the victim, who had a bloody head and missing teeth, ran home to her mother, who immediately called the police.

When officers arrived, they filed an incident report, which noted that there were “obvious extensive injuries” to the victim’s head. They also mentioned that her right ear was “torn and dangling, her front teeth were missing or damaged, her upper lip was torn, and her head was covered in cuts.

She was then taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she is currently recovering from a broken jaw and nose. She also has chipped teeth, a black eye, and a red mark on her neck consistent with a strangulation injury and received stitches on her lips, forehead, and ear.

Eventually, local law enforcement officials managed to track down Diaz-Garcia. They then placed him under arrest and charged him with “second-degree assault, second-degree rape, and third-degree child molestation.”

Prior to that, Angelo Martinez, a 20-year-old “DREAMer” was arrested last year as well after trying to steal a car from a group of football players in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

According to reports, he met the football players at the Loma Linda Community Center football field as they were walking to their car to leave. Despite the fact that he was allegedly “acting sketchy as if he was trying to get in [the car],” the players decided to give him a ride anyway.

Once in the car, Martinez reportedly kept changing his mind about the end destination. When they finally pulled over in front of what they thought was Martinez’s house, he pulled out a gun and told them to all get out of the car.

Terrified, the football players listened and began exiting the vehicle. However, as they were getting out, Martinez clumsily fumbled with the gun.

Upon seeing this, one of the players jumped back in the car and started repeatedly punching Martinez in the face. The other players then jumped in and managed to restrain him until police arrived.

And several weeks before that, Eric Cruz-Lopez, a 21-year-old illegal immigrant also given protection by DACA, was arrested and charged with 103 counts of “criminal mischief” for scrawling anti-Trump messages all over the University of Connecticut’s campus over the course of several months.

According to police, starting in December, Cruz-Lopez, a former student of the university, used paint pens and spray paint to write numerous hateful comments directed at the President, such as, “f*** Trump,” on buildings and other property all around campus. Each time, he left “PEST” as the signature.

Clearly, not all “DREAMers” are as harmless and law-abiding as many on the left have repeatedly tried to make them out to be. Because of this, those living in the country illegally, including those protected by DACA, need to be deported, not given driver’s licenses.
