Super Tuesday Results Show Carefully Crafted Wins For Biden, But GOP Turnout Stuns

With the strategic removal of Buttigieg and Klobuchar, gaffe-prone Joe Biden was able to win states where he hasn’t even campaigned.

Does anyone else wonder how this guy, who can barely speak coherently, was able to pull this off? (Source: PBS News Hour YouTube Screenshot)

In what the media would like voters to believe, Joe Biden came away with remarkable wins last night during Super Tuesday’s primary elections. The man who can’t remember the Declaration of Independence and who bragged about using extortion against the Ukraine as VP was a clear winner. However, others argue that the wins were carefully contrived by the DNC. And, Warren’s dismal performance in her own state was laughable.

Yet, the real news from yesterday was the turnout Donald Trump garnered, which indicate a serious, serious problem for democrat reelection strategies.

Conservative Treehouse outlined the major takeaways from the night:

The media are amplifying a strong Biden narrative on behalf of the professional political class within the DNC Club.

(1) If you accept the Club objective to keep the progressive Sanders vote split, and then  assemble the non-Sanders vote – all proportional states, the Club was very successful.

(2) As a result of coalescing within the moderate lane, the withdrawal of Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg helped Joe Biden achieve wins in states he never even campaigned in.

(3) If you align Elizabeth Warren votes with Bernie Sanders (progressives) and Michael Bloomberg votes with Joe Biden (Club “moderates”)… Elizabeth Warren staying in the race cost Bernie Sanders wins in Minnesota, Maine and Massachusetts.

(4) Extending the math, the delegate impact from Warren staying in the race was a net negative to Bernie Sanders and a net positive to Joe Biden.  Without Warren Bernie would have had larger delegate wins in Utah, Colorado and California.

(5) Joe Biden winning Texas was arguably the biggest surprise.

(6) Without Warren in the race Bernie would have won seven states: Minnesota, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Colorado, Utah and California.   Biden would have also won seven states: Virginia, North Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Texas.

(7) If you accept the Club goal was to diminish Bernie Sanders, the plan for Klobuchar and Buttigieg to exit the race and Warren remaining in the race did exactly what was intended.

(8) Despite winning some delegates Michael Bloomberg did not negatively impact Joe Biden.  Biden’s wins in North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas and Texas would have been larger; but the resulting delegate additions would have been less than the delegate additions Bernie would have received from Warren’s exit.

warren has completely lost any sense of self-awareness after placing third in her own state

idk what “momentum” she’s referring to but i’m sure biden loves her staying in the race to take votes away from sanders https://t.co/QXXDlSabdT

Bernie Sanders is in a tenuous position as long as Elizabeth Warren remains in the race.

The total delegate distribution is still unknown.

However, it does not currently appear like Bernie will achieve the threshold of half the total delegates that were available.  California might be Bernie’s firewall to keep the delegate count close.

Team Bernie will now have to try and withstand an absolute blitz of pro-Biden media as the Club gets everyone to fall-in-line.

Meanwhile the voter turnout for an essentially uncontested President Trump was a very good sign.  The turnout numbers for President Trump far exceed any former incumbent.

The untold story of the night is Republican turnout for an essentially uncontested incumbent president.

Look at Texas and North Carolina, for instance. Geez.

We are seeing proof of the huge enthusiasm for @realDonaldTrump in several states:

In NC, POTUS has already blown past the # of votes he got in 2016.

In OK, POTUS is on pace to received 4 TIMES the # of votes of the last two incumbent presidents.

With 100% reporting in OK, @realDonaldTrump has received over 270,000 votes. The President has not only surpassed his own vote total of 130,267 votes in 2016, he has over quadrupled the vote totals received by President Obama in 2012 (59,577) and President Bush in 2004 (64,389).

MORE:

Essex County, VT went for Obama in ’08 and ’12, but swung for @realDonaldTrump in ’16 (aka “a Pivot County.”) POTUS just received more votes there than all the Democrat primary candidates got in 2008.

Update on NC: POTUS has received 150% MORE votes than he did in ’16!

In Tennessee with 80% in, Donald J. Trump has received more votes than any Presidential Primary candidate in the last three decades.

Wow:

Look at the results in Colorado tonight so far

Bernie Sanders—238,345
Mike Bloomberg—146,907
Joe Biden—147,562

Total for the three front runners: 532,814

Donald Trump—569,441

No one HAD to turn out for the incumbent

But he still outdid the top 3 Democrats

Incredible.

All good signs for President Trump moving forward into the general election.

The decisions by Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bloomberg are also very important now, especially given that Warren came in a distant third in her own state of Massachusetts.
