Yesterday, the deep state, Obama appointed State Department Inspector General Steve Linick was fired. Linick was a key player in fabricating the ‘impeachment’ against President Donald Trump.
President Trump ousted the State Department’s independent watchdog, removing yet another inspector general he says lost his confidence.
In a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent late on Friday evening, Trump said Inspector General Steve Linick will be of no more use to his administration and has been removed, effective 30 days from now.
“It is vital that I have the fullest confidence in the appointees serving as Inspectors General,” Trump wrote. “That is no longer the case with regard to this Inspector General.”
Linick, who was appointed to the State Department in 2013 by President Barack Obama, is a former assistant U.S. attorney in Virginia and California. He will be replaced by Stephen Akard, a close associate of Vice President Mike Pence who has served as a foreign service officer throughout his career.

“On Sept. 11, 2019, Ambassador Akard was confirmed by the Senate, 90-2, to lead the Department’s Office of Foreign Missions and we look forward to him leading the Office of the Inspector General,” a representative with the State Department said.
Democrats decried the move.
“Shameful. Another late Friday night attack on independence, accountability, and career officials. At this point, the President’s paralyzing fear of any oversight is undeniable,” tweeted New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez, the top Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee.
New York Rep. Eliot Engel, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said he learned that the Office of Inspector General had opened an investigation into Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
“Mr. Linick’s firing amid such a probe strongly suggests that this is an unlawful act of retaliation,” he said.
Trump has riled Democrats by removing other inspectors general in recent months after he was acquitted on two Ukraine-related articles of impeachment, including the intelligence community watchdog, Michael Atkinson, who dealt with the whistleblower complaint that helped spark the impeachment investigation.
Last month, he also removed Glenn Fine, the acting Pentagon watchdog, who was supposed to oversee the implementation of the $2.2 trillion coronavirus relief package.
Others are thrilled that the president is slowly cleaning up the swamp, with its corrupt, unelected bureaucrats who have a vested interest in the complete destruction of the United States.
