When she escaped from being held accountable for having classified information on a private, barely-protected server, Hillary Clinton probably thought she had it made. Sure, she was likely crushed when she lost the presidency to Donald J. Trump, but at least she didn’t have to go to prison like the average person who breaks similar laws.
However, former Secret Service agent Gary John Byrne, is filling a RICO lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, and a network of related groups and individuals, including John Podesta and George Soros. The case, which was filed on June 15, 2018, could be an interesting one indeed, and claims that he was targeted by a Clinton ‘Enterprise’ for “payback” after he spoke out about the Clintons, even his life was “in danger.”
The suit, filed in a Washington D.C. court and weighing in at 210 pages, makes a number of claims.
However, perhaps the most interesting claim comes on the first page, where the plaintiff refused to provide his home address due to “death threats and related danger to Plaintiff from” people named in the lawsuit and related to the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton’s network of powerful friends.
Point 829 of the filing asks that, even if the jury does not ‘return’ “all that is asked,” that the court will prevent the ‘Enterprise,’ “as they are wont, from murdering Officer Byrne and his family.”
In other words, this man who served his country and even served the Clintons, seems terrified that he has been targeted. His fears, given the previous deaths that surround the Clintons, seem justified.
In the court filing, Byrne talks about the ‘Enterprise,’ which appears to be a group of organizations and individuals involved in acts against the United States, including sedition and “innumerable other criminal wrongdoing.”
Byrne even claims that the Enterprise continues to undermine the government today, and that it is actively seeking to undermine the 45th president of the United States of America; President Donald Trump.
The filling even goes so far as to suggest that Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, the agents at the Federal Bureau of Investigation who were involved in two farcical investigations into the President that turned up nothing but their own political bias, are part of ‘the Enterprise.’
He also says in his filing that after his book came out in 2016, he was “brutally defamed” and injured in his business dealings by Hillary Clinton, David Brock, Correct the Record (a Brock-funded Super PAC that aimed to defend candidate Clinton‘s reputation by ‘finding and confronting’ social media users).
The filing also says that Jan Gilhooly, the President of the Association of Former Agents of the United States Secret Service (AFAUSSS) sought to defame him on behalf of the Clintons et al., as did Jonathan Wackrow, a CNN analyst, and former USSS agent.
The filing appears to claim that the ‘Enterprise,’ and its related surrogates, didn’t simply target officer Byrne for defamation, but appeared to be dead-set on undermining Donald Trump’s campaign.
The filing suggests that the defamation Byrne was targeted with was simply incidental to the main objective of the Enterprise, which was to ‘stop’ President Trump from ever becoming such.
These claims may seem fantastic, but it is not likely that a former Secret Service agent would risk everything to file a frivolous lawsuit, especially a RICO lawsuit.
RICO lawsuits are generally filed in order to target larger organizations, or group of organizations, for wrongdoing. The Gambino and Lucchese crime families, for example, both well-known Mafia families, were tried under RICO statutes.
Perhaps, then, it is more appropriate than ever that the Clinton family, its organizations, and its affiliates should be sued as an ‘Enterprise’ under such statutes.
It will be interesting to see what kind of information comes forward as the result of this lawsuit. It could easily turn out that much of what President Trump and Officer Byrne said about the Clintons will be substantiated by evidence turned over in the discovery process.
