Rosenstein Memo Recommended Comey Firing Over Clinton Protection

“I do not understand his refusal to accept the nearly universal judgment that he was mistaken,” wrote Rosenstein.

Rosenstein refused subpoena to comply with congressional probes.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is urging everyone to read the memo from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, which trashes former Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey and details his countless “wrong” actions, according to Investment Watch Blog.

During an interview Sunday on Fox News, Gingrich explained that President Donald Trump made a tactical mistake by not releasing the memo in full and allowing everyone to see how egregious Comey‘s behavior was while he was leading the FBI.

“First of all, I urge everybody to read the original Rosenstein memo about Comey, which Trump totally mishandled,” Gingrich said, adding that the memo would have created a “state of shock” across the country.

“Let the country, through Sunday talk shows, deal with the memo. It’s devastating. It’s clear that if you got that memo and you’re the president, you would have fired Comey,” Gingrich said.

The former Speaker was referring to the three-page memo that Rosenstein wrote in May 2017 after Trump officially fired Comey.

In the memo, titled, “Restoring Public Confidence in the FBI,” Rosenstein detailed that the only way to restore confidence in the FBI was to remove Comey and condemn his gross mishandling over the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Rosenstein also wrote that Comey refused to accept any blame or responsibility for botching the investigation.

With the mainstream media fawning over Comey’s new book, Gingrich is urging Americans to read the memo, which explicitly states Comey’s behavior and actions were so abhorrent that his firing was warranted. This is crucial to understand because Comey is currently peddling a book about leadership and the rule of law, which is incredibly ironic given he allowed Clinton to skirt charges after admitting she broke the law.

Comey admitted dozens of classified materials and documents were sent and received by Clinton on her private email server, which was hidden in the basement of her home. That’s illegal. Comey admitted she broke the law. So why wasn’t she charged? Why wasn’t a grand jury impaneled? Why were there no indictments for her cronies and allies who also mishandled classified information and used hammers to destroy evidence?

Gingrich said the memo serves as a great reminder that the deep state isn’t done trying to take down Trump and will do whatever is necessary to protect their own.

He also reminded people that the memo is what led to Rosenstein appointing Special Counsel Robert Mueller. And now Attorney General Jeff Sessions is threatening to quit if Trump fires Rosenstein.

Gingrich warned that Trump has been betrayed, and that the only way to fight back against the deep state is to keep releasing information and let the American people see it for themselves. Read it for yourself with this link.
