Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) skirted questions from reporters about why she lied to voters about her intentions regarding the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Murkowski casted one of three “no” votes by Republican Senators, her company includes Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) and Senator John McCain (R-AZ). These three senators voted to stop the advancement of the repeal bill that would end the ACA, despite their party’s stance against the law.
Murkowski was able to evade the questions by reporters about why she voted for a repeal bill in 2015 but now that the time has come she completely changed her mind. Murkowski lied to her voters in 2015 when she said that she wanted to repeal the ACA because of the rising costs associated with the failing law and now suggests that the process needs to fixed. Murkowski is a Republican In Name Only (RINO) as her policies and practices leave her progressive agenda in plain sight.
RINOs like Murkowski, McCain, and Collins have long plagued the Republican Party with moderate policies that would not see an end to Planned Parenthood funding or even voting against presidential appointments. Collins was even caught recently just bad mouthing the president other other Republicans.
McCain’s flawed and corrupt background has left many dead as well as confused about the type of foundation he runs for victims of human trafficking. These three RINOs are nothing more than snakes in the swamp that need to either be recalled and impeached or voted out the next time their seat is up for grabs.
Murkowski has barely even held onto her father’s seat as a tea party candidate knocked her out of the primaries in 2010 but she managed to win the seat from the sheer amounts of write-in votes. She had never won the majority of votes in her state, just enough to win the seat though. Her father was a senator for 22 years and she has been one for close to 15 with few accomplishments. Murkowski’s lying and dodging questions should have Alaskans concerned because her actions do not reflect her words.
Murkowski’s office finally released a lengthy explanation as to why the Senator campaigned on repealing the ACA but ultimately stopping the repeal bill from advancing. She stated that she voted no was because she thought that both parties needed to work on the process and that the substance was lacking.
That was all she said about why she lied and then her written response went on to talk about why the ACA is bad and why it is important to work together to reach a beneficial solution to all who want and deserve it. The end bit was forced to say that least and it showed that she had no other reason to vote no other than some ulterior motive.
Murkowski has even gone far enough to say in the past that she does not approve of federal funds going to Planned Parenthood, which the new repeal bill was going to stop, and yet she voted no to stop the repeal bill. The new bill was going to stop the flow of federal funds to abortion clinics just so the office can then use their money for something else.
The taxpayers should not be keeping the rent paid and their lights on while they sell both abortions and leftover remains. Murkowski has shown that she is a RINO who operates for liberal progressives as she says she does not want funds going to Planned Parenthood but refuses to end it when given the chance. Murkowski and other RINOs who stood in Trump’s way during the campaign need to be voted out of their offices as soon as possible.
RINOs within the Republican Party are the most dangerous enemies that Trump has. They will continue to reassure him time and time again that they are on his side when in reality their own greed and malice reveals itself as they try to double-cross or betray him. Trump said it himself during the campaign when he tweeted that disloyal Republicans were worse than Democrats in his eyes.
Republican Senators and House Representatives that are proving themselves to be part of the problem are going to have to be voted out in state primaries for the parties. That means registration in some states to the party so that Democrats do not vote for a weak candidate on purpose. Unfortunately, Murkowski’s re-election campaign is not until 2022, but others like Susan Collins are as close as 2018.
