Rand Paul Becomes Last & Only Man Standing, Refuses To Let GOP Lie To American People Again

Rand Paul ran all over the Capitol “looking and hunting” for the bill to repeal and replace the much hated Obamacare.

One of the reasons that Donald Trump is the president has to do with the family tree of Dr. Rand Paul, Senator of Kentucky. Sure, his father, the legendary Dr. Ron Paul, is a lot different than Mr. Trump. While Ron Paul and Donald Trump shared (Trump in 2017, Ron Paul prior) a peaceful platform, a disdain for NAFTA, and a strong sense that states need more rights, there were/are just as many differences. Still, it was Ron Paul that woke up so many people. For some reason, this libertarian legend who looked a bit like an undertaker was able to awaken huge swaths of the nation to what was happening in the world, even though he had been in Congress for many years before. America has known no greater Congressman.

Fast forward to 2016, and we had an election full of people who spent four years wondering what happened to the Tea Party, why was Boehner a neocon traitor, and how bad the establishment GOP was going to be destroyed by a Hillary Clinton run. As the GOP voters tried to forgive Rand Paul for betraying his dad, Rand began talking about abortions instead of taxes, and Trump stole the tax idea in the eyes of the public as a result of it. Considering that Rand Paul has built his career on the topic of taxes, it had to be one of the more poorly run campaigns in modern history in order for that to have happened.

As it turned out, Gary Johnson tried to be Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein was even too zany on the global warming front for anyone but neo-hippies. The real “third party, Constitutional” candidate turned out to be someone (at least running as) a Republican that the world knew and loved already, Donald Trump. His differences with the libertarian wing of his party were forgiven since there was no real Constitutionalist (except maybe Richard Duncan) on the ballot after Rand Paul was forced out. Thankfully, even after the short jokes, Rand Paul has overlooked any brash comments and become one of Trump’s must vocal supporters. He aims to talk with Trump about differences like the illegality of asset forfeiture that steals innocent peoples money as well as the criminals, the Fourth Amendment with things like stop and frisk, and, it seems, Obamacare.

The Daily Mail today reports that Rand Paul and “a group of Democrats marched” to what was a locked office in the House side of the Capital Building. He was there to see a copy of the bill that is being written (may be done?) to both repeal and replace Obamacare, something Paul supports and according to recent speeches, the president does as well. Rand Paul has been known to take drastic, purposefully humorous measures to prove a point (such as throwing the tax code into a wood chipper), but it is never a “show for show’s sake.” Rather, there is always a point, and in modern America, he knows how to get the point heard and noticed when he needs to.

Rand Paul has put on a grand display to prove a point; America is again having their healthcare bill hidden from them.

To this end he said, “It’s the secret office for the secret bill,” as he talked to reporters outside of what was a locked door on the base floor where Rand Paul says that the bill is being hidden. It is rather scary to think that something as vital as healthcare, our healthcare needs a nation, is being decided by a very small number of pencil pushers. That is why Paul was seen looming outside of Rep. Cathy McMorris’ office where he again asked the see the repeal and replace measures.

Paul also noted a fact not often addressed and that is not commonly talked about, which is the fact that there is no reason to keep a healthcare bill secret. It is not exactly a matter of national security, so what scam is being potentially planned? No one knows if one is, but the secrecy certainly implies it, to which Paul said, “This should be an open and transparent process. This is being presented as if it were a national secret, as if this was a plot to invade another country as if this were national security. That’s wrong.”

Paul is no stranger to making grand, often comical gestures and actions to prove a point, such as speaking with the whole tax code printed out (pictured) to show how needlessly burdensome it is.

The Daily Mail also says that Frank Pallone of New Jersey and Jan Schakowsky of Illinois paid a visit seeking the coming law to the offices of Kevin McCarthy, as well as being seen “hunting” at Energy and Commerce Chairman Greg Walden’s office, only to be shooed away. It is reported that “The unusual search wound through the Capitol and labyrinthine Rayburn House office building,” which as anyone who knows what can be the very animated and playfully sarcastic demeanor of Paul can imagine, must have been a really smile-inducing set of visits to watch.

The threat of even more leaks, a literal black shroud that looms over the new White House, might be why the bill is being kept so hushed, but then again as Paul said, this is healthcare. This is not warfare or national security, it is what should be open debates on what the nation is to do when sick or injured. Walden claims that they are being transparent, but no one can see the bill, so his credibility is kind of shot on the matter. This lead Paul to also state that “This is being presented as if this were a national secret, as if this were a plot to invade another country.

Dr. Ron Paul (pictured), libertarian Constitutionalist father of Dr. Rand Paul, is one of the main reasons for America’s awakening.

Somehow we are all supposed to just trust Paul Ryan like we did Obama on the matter because he say that Congress is “not hatching some bill in a backroom and plopping it on the American people’s front door,” yet as Rep. Joe Crowley noted, “They won’t let us see the bill.” The GOP is worried that things like tax credits, even for people who don’t pay taxes (which makes zero sense) will work to raise taxes. Trump ran on a platform of offering something better that did not do so, and with so many chefs trying to alter the Trump recipe, Rand Paul is right to worry.
As this all plays out, American voters need to be calling Senators and those in Congress to demand that the needs and issues that are important to them are heard because, according to Rand’s grand hunt, there are very few facts to be obtained. This apathy and blind hope is what lead to the disaster of Obamacare and it must not be allowed to happen ever again.
