In addition to promising free speech on college campuses, something that should be a priority in America’s learning institutions but isn’t, the president also criticized the Mueller and liberal witch hunts into his campaign, his business, and his presidency. He also stopped to hug the American flag before he delivered his remarks.
“You know I’m totally off script right now, and this, you know, is how I got elected, by being off script,” he said. “And if we don’t go off script our country is in big trouble, folks.”
May people agree.
President Trump blasted the ongoing Russian ‘investigation,’ echoing many experts who’ve pointed to evidence of a corrupt Obama FBI and Justice Department.
“We had the greatest [election] of all time. Now we have people that lost and unfortunately you put the wrong people in a couple of positions and they leave people for a long time that shouldn’t be there, and all of a sudden they’re trying to take you out with bullshit, okay?”
The president left no one in doubt about who he blames for the never-ending probe by mocking Jeff Sessions southern accent.
Granted, mocking a southern accent isn’t necessarily PC, but most southerners are just fine with the brash Yankee we’ve elected, and one of the reasons we love him is because he doesn’t speak in carefully crafted phrases, but is a real person.
“Robert Mueller never received a vote, and neither did the person that appointed him,” Trump said, referring to the unelected gestapo-like officials investigating him.
“They don’t have anything with Russia. There’s no collusion,” Trump said. “So now they go and morph into, ‘let’s inspect every deal he’s ever done. We’re gonna go into his finances. We’re gonna check his deals’ … These people are sick! They’re sick.”
He specifically praised Jim Jordon and Mark Meadows, who have worked tirelessly to expose the bias and corruption of the probe, and he blasted “Little Shifty Schiff,” referring to democrat Adam Schiff.
He also spoke about socialist Democrats and mocked the “Green New Deal” introduced by freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, joking “I do like the green new deal. I respect it greatly. It should be part of the dialogue of the next election.”
“Trump also commented that he was giving away too much material from his future 2020 campaign rallies against Democrat challengers.”
“I’m going to regret this speech,” he said. “This speech should have been delivered a year from now, not now damn it.”
Joking that he had destroyed Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren, he said “Now I won’t get a chance to run against her, and I would have loved that. I don’t want to knock out all of the good stuff and end up with somebody that’s actually got talent.”
The CPAC audience remained engaged for the entire two hours of the speech, responding with chants of “USA!” “Build the wall!” and “Lock her up!”
The president glanced at his watch after the two-hour mark and said, “I’ve been up here a long time!”
However, something that liberals hate to report is that his voice remained strong and clear (Nancy Pelosi) throughout the speech, and he continued standing (Hillary) at the podium.
The president also remarked, “Now more than ever, we need the proud men and women of CPAC, and I want to thank everybody here because it is incredible, your organization is incredible.”
