Maintaining that he has absolutely nothing to hide, President Donald Trump said he would “love to” speak to Special Counsel Robert Mueller and tell him that there was no collusion during the 2016 presidential election.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday at the White House, President Trump said he may decide to speak with Mueller under oath in “two or three weeks.”
This is a big deal because it further proves Trump has nothing to hide. Nothing says innocent like staring Mueller in the face and telling him he didn’t collude with Russia to defeat failed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Or as Trump calls her, Crooked Hillary.
“I would love to do [the interview], and I would like to do it as soon as possible … I would do it under oath, absolutely,” President Trump said.
After nearly a year of congressional investigations and months of Mueller’s witch hunt, there has been zero evidence to suggest Trump colluded with Russia.
In fact, the numerous Russia investigations actually exposed how former President Barack Obama, Clinton, and his other allies abused their power to launch the phony Russia investigation against Trump in 2016.
Two high-ranking FBI also spoke about the bureau having a “secret society” that met to unseat Trump after he won the election.
As previously reported, Fusion GPS hired former British spy Christopher Steele to compile the dossier, which was full of several unverified claims suggesting Trump colluded with Russia during the election.
Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid roughly $9 million for the dossier, which the FBI has admitted it cannot verify.
