Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler came under fire after multiple viral videos showing Antifa ‘rioters’ blocking traffic and harassing drivers were seen this week. However, the mayor said he backed the police’s decision to simply observe the chaos and not get involved.
The mayor was referring to ‘protestors’ who attacked a driver. And, the carnage has not stopped. As the Patriot Prayer group demonstrated last night, masked Antifa members instigated more violent altercations.
Bear spray, bare knuckles and sticks were deployed in the riotous clamber outside Kelly’s Olympian, a bar on Southwest Washington Street.
Flags were burned, and general anarchy reigned in Portland streets last night.
Friday, a video posted by journalist Andy C. Ngo showed Antifa and Black Lives Matter insurrectionists taking over the streets, and trying to force traffic as officers watched from a safe distance.
Many people recognize in these black clad liberals the revival of the KKK, who also used violence to force political action.
Many conservatives recognize that these ‘protestors’ are actually violent thugs, bent on property damage and physical harm to anyone who doesn’t subscribe to their radical political views.
However, Mayor Wheeler insisted “motorists should feel completely safe coming into downtown Portland.”
Some people wonder how he could issue such a statement in the wake of further chaos. It appears to most people that a complete lack of law and order now rules the liberal city.
A demonstration billed as a march for “law and order” acted as a catalyst for fascist to become violent, as bloody brawls erupted downtown Saturday night.
After the battle, riot cops finally acted and fired pepper balls at the groups.
The Portland Police Bureau reported that the demonstrators were armed with a number of weapons, yet police said they made no arrests Saturday night. They claim they will continue to ‘investigate.’
