Pope Shocks World, ‘Comfort’ Denounces Biblical Teaching

The man was a victim of abuse suffered at the hands of a Chilean priest.

The Pope (pictured in green) is changing the very precepts of the church.

People have tried to find reasons for homosexuality. Everything from upbringing to exposure to certain chemicals have been blamed. Now, many news outlets and the Joseph Sciambra Blog has revealed that Pope Francis has added his opinion.

El Pais has reported that “Pope Francis said to a male sex abuse victim that: “God made you gay.” The statement, departing from church doctrine, was said to the family and “victims of Chilean Catholic sex-offender priest Fernando Karadima.” Disregarding the Holy Scriptures, the Pope apparently feels justified in telling people the mind of God, contrary to what was written.

The L.A. Times has confirmed that one of the men who had been “abused by the priest, former seminarian Juan Carlos Cruz” was told the words by the Pope, a fact tweeted by Jesuit priest James Martin.

Is the Pontiff laying the foundation to exonerate these pedophile priests?

In the exhaustively titled “Building a Bridge: How the Catholic Church and the LGBT Community Can Enter into a Relationship of Respect, Compassion, and Sensitivity,” Martin praises such talk.

He  has glowing words for the “’Catechism‘ for boldly stating that homosexuals must be treated with “respect, compassion, and sensitivity” and that ‘every sign of unjust discrimination’ must be avoided.

Martin also wrote, “God made you this way. You are wonderfully made, just like Psalm 139 says. You were knit together in your mother’s womb this way, you know, it’s a mystery why you were made this way, but this is part of your identity.”

He also opined that the church is being “needless hurtful” by taking a pure stance to homosexuality. While each person’s view on gays is welcomed, to deny what the history of the church has always stated is to tread down a very dark road. The church is to stand on its foundation, not the whims for modern thought.

There are many quotes laid out  in the blog, such as “Although the particular inclination of the homosexual person is not a sin, it is a more or less strong tendency ordered toward an intrinsic moral evil; and thus the inclination itself must be seen as an objective disorder.”

At the end of the day, the fact is that the Pope and others are denying what they have always called the truth.

Perhaps if the church spent a little more time teaching the word of God instead of playing politics, they would not have to pander to a PC class just to up attendance.

Bottom line: The Pope has changed the word of God to suit what men’s itching ears want to hear.
