On Friday, a ‘Greenpeace’ nut-job decided to break the law and the no-fly zone over the Turnberry golf resort during President Trump’s visit. Although the ‘Below Par’ protest was both idiotic (below par is a good thing in golf, right?), it was also disastrously illegal and proves how strong the approval for violence by the left has become.
What if this had been a terrorist?!
Although the ‘protest’ was stupid, many Americans, myself included, are furious that no shoot down order was issued. The 55-year-old paraglider, in this case, was harmless, but he could have easily released Sarin gas, dropped a homemade incendiary device, or taken some other lethal action against President Trump.
That is unacceptable.
Greenpeace knew darn good and well that there was a no-fly zone in effect over the golf course, but they chose to ignore that law. As such, the unnamed man took his life into his hands.
He should have been taken out, without remorse. He willingly chose to play, so he should have expected to pay. My question is why was he allowed to get this close? It should have never been allowed, and this is a major failure by the secret service.
Let’s also consider the asinine message Greenpeace released after this ‘below par’ banner.
The website posted, “We’ve hit @realDonaldTrump where it hurts — at his golf course. Trump does not believe in climate change. He’s pulled the US out of the Paris Agreement, and is committed to burning more climate wrecking coal. We couldn’t let him get away with a quiet game of golf … #resist.”
‘Hit’ him, how?
With a banner? Please. It’s so childish.
“Trump does not believe in climate change.”
Yep… and he’s in good company, even though leftists don’t want to acknowledge the many scientists and great thinkers who denounce climate change theories. When these people are recognized, they are often belittled for their logical stance.
Craig Idso is founder and former president of the Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change. The organization is a non-profit publisher of CO2Science, which uses facts to dispute the argument. He asserts that rising CO2 and warmer temperatures support plant growth, which is a good thing, something we all earned in second grade science class.
Patrick Moore, a former president of the non-governmental group Greenpeace Canada, recently said, “I am firmly of the belief that the future will show that this whole hysteria over climate change was a complete fabrication.”
Greenpeace, of course, claims that he ‘exploits’ his former position with the environmental organization.
Anastasios Tsonis has actually done research about this communist redistribution of wealth theory. He is a distinguished professor of atmospheric science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and “is part of a group of scientists who think that Earth’s climate flips between a ‘warm mode’ and ‘cool mode’ every 20 to 30 years, driven by oceanic temperatures, particularly the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation (AMO) current.”
Denis Rancourt, aka “Climate Guy,” was a professor of physics at University of Ottawa. He was banned from the university in 2008, after publishing a detailed report disputing climate change.
Freeman Dyson is a Fellow of the Royal Society and professor emeritus of the School of Natural Sciences, Institute for Advanced Study. He, and a number of other scientists including MIT meteorologist Richard Lindzen, have decried the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC’s) ‘conclusions.’
Others have suggested the the changes in earth’s temperatures are impacted by solar activity, which makes sense given global history.
So, President Trump has quite distinguished company with him. Intelligent people who do not believe in man-made climate change.
This Greenpeace stunt was both dangerous and without merit. My only questions is, why wasn’t the criminal forcibly removed from the air? He should have never been allowed to get that close to the President of the United States. What if it had been a radical Muslim, bent on stopping President Trump’s success?
The danger here was ignored, and that is intolerable. At least, the man has been arrested. Hopefully, he will pay dearly for his stunt.
