The NFL protests not only have been quite terrible for the league, but also for some players that are starting to get tired of the political demonstration. After all, this has polarized the fans in a way that no one has seen in decades. This way, as tensions over the national anthem continue to mount, Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett decided to take an incredible move. Believe it or not, he decided to abandon his protests and take a stand before the game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Naturally, this represents really bad news for those on the left considering that Bennett has been one of the faces of social justice advocacy in the league. After former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Bennett was one of the most important figures in the anthem protests.
When the Seahawks played against the Cardinals during the Salute For Service game Thursday night, this player stood for the Star Spangled Banner. Of course, viewers immediately took notice that the longtime protester decided to link arms with his teammates instead of kneeling during the anthem.
It was a surprising moment considering the implications of this act. After all, the Seahawks have been one of the teams that took the protests to a different level of intensity. In fact, they even become one of the most criticized franchises in the league because of this.
While everyone felt surprised by this act, the truth is that this wasn’t unexpected at all. On Wednesday, Bennett had hinted that he might stand for the national anthem with Veterans Day coming up. In fact, his father, Bennett Sr., is a Navy veteran who recently expressed solidarity with his son’s protest.
Back in September, Bennett Sr. told Sports Illustrated that he joined the military so people like his son and anyone else could express their point of view. In addition, he said that he loses all his respect for those who can’t see what is going on in their own country.
Naturally, this whole situation was more than enough for the left. They eventually manipulate it in the most effective way just to assure that this proved how the national anthem protests were not disrespectful.
Obviously, if you had any kind of hope that Bennett could finally come to his senses and become a changed man for good, you better think again. After all, it has been widely reported that he would probably go back to kneeling in the coming games.
This player began sitting during the national anthem during the preseason, and he had continued to do so throughout this campaign until Thursday’s contest. While this was quite controversial, this is not the first time he becomes major news.
In September, Bennett accused Las Vegas police of using excessive force and racially profiling him. It was a very controversial moment where the liberal mainstream media had the time of their lives. After all, they always backed the anthem protests and now one of the most prominent figures of these demonstrations was being a victim of police racism. It was basically the greatest narrative.
Apparently, officers detained Bennett on August 27 in the early morning after the fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. The detainment happened soon after the NFL player ran from a scene where there was reported to be gunfire, although no shots were fired.
Unsurprisingly, the sports media went deep on this history and decided to condemn the Las Vegas police. At that moment, there wasn’t enough evidence to back up Bennett’s claims. Eventually, Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo denied the allegations.
The LVPD provided 120 different videos of the incident https://t.co/mAfcuoE2A8 (watch vid at bottom of article). There were 100s of black people in the casino, he looked suspicious af cause he was hiding behind a machine. Police told him to put hands up AND HE RAN LIKE AN IDIOT

On September 29th, after reviewing 193 different videos of the controversial night, the Las Vegas released a two-minute video. Its content revealed their officers didn’t use excessive force against Bennett, didn’t racially profile him, and even treated him with respect throughout their interaction. It was a really shameful moment where both Bennett and the liberal mainstream media got exposed.
It is quite absurd to suggest that Las Vegas police picked this player out because of racism. If so, why didn’t they also detain the hundreds of black individuals in the exact same casino at that same time? Bennett was detained for a very simple reason: because he just behaved in a suspicious manner and police believed he could be involved in the alleged shooting.
