Newsom Moves To Eliminate Single Family Housing In CA to ‘Narrow Racial Wealth Gap’

If everyone is living in slums… they’re all equal.

Gavin Newsom doesn’t want anyone to live the American dream. He and his communist cohorts want all people (who aren’t part of the extremely wealthy elite) to live in tenement housing. You, know, so everyone is ‘equal’… equally poor, equally enslaved, equally controlled.

The Gateway Pundit explained:

After surviving the rigged recall election last week, Governor Gavin Newsom (D) signed three housing bills that will drastically reduce single-family (SFR) zoning in California.

The new law will make it easier to build housing projects in suburban areas zoned for single family residences – all in the name of equity.

“The housing affordability crisis is undermining the California Dream for families across the state, and threatens our long-term growth and prosperity,” Newsom said in a statement. “Making a meaningful impact on this crisis will take bold investments, strong collaboration across sectors and political courage from our leaders and communities to do the right thing and build housing for all.”

The new law will destroy suburban developments and values will drop.

SB 8 effectively takes power away from local governments and accelerates the approval process for housing projects.

Cities won’t be able to push back on the development of housing projects.

SB 9 will allow for a homeowner to build a duplex (2-unit) or split a residential lot.

This means FOUR units can be built on one residential lot.

SB 10 will make it easy for local governments (cities) to rezone areas to allow for up to 10 units per parcel!

A far left advocacy group praised Newsom and the Marxist-Democrat swamp in California and said the new law will help “narrow the racial wealth gap” because too many whites own their homes compared to minorities.

KTLA reported:

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed three housing-related bills into law Thursday that are likely to make multi-family housing projects easier to build and open up many single-family zones to development.

The new law “undermines the ability of local governments to responsibly plan for the types of housing that communities need, circumvents the local government review process, and silences community voices,” said league executive director Carolyn Coleman, noting that there are no provisions requiring that the new housing be affordable.

California’s median sales price for single-family homes is now $811,170, up 21.7% since July of last year.

The advocacy group California Community Builders has said legislation approved by lawmakers this year would help narrow a racial wealth gap in California, where more than 60% of whites own their homes compared to 35% of Blacks and about 40% of Latinos.
