MSNBC reporter Jacob Soboroff took a trip to California to speak with college students about voting in November’s midterm elections, and he was admittedly “shocked” that his youth voter segment completely backfired.
Speaking with students at the University of California Irvine on Tuesday, Soboroff said he wanted to see if voting-age students were fired up to vote in the midterms.
But after speaking to many students, the MSNBC host quickly realized that not everyone has been endlessly hyperventilating over Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, the Russia investigation, and everything President Donald Trump does or says.
In fact, many people agree that the media’s indoctrination and propaganda has failed to brainwash these potential voters.
When Soboroff asked students if they planned to vote in less than a month, many of them looked at the reporter completely stone-faced, as if they could not care any less that there was an upcoming election.
After failing to even get a response from many students, a few stopped and did not give Soboroff the answers he was apparently looking for regarding the election.
“I don’t watch the news,” one student said.
“We’re, like, the most unreliable voter demographic,” another student said, who was visibly unmotivated to vote or even really engage with the MSNBC reporter.
Soboroff was so stunned by his dumpster fire of a segment that he sent out a tweet afterwards saying that some of the answers he received were “shocking.”
It’s clear to many people that his goal was to slander Trump, the GOP, and ask politically-infused questions aimed at encouraging youth voters to throw their support behind the Democratic Party.
He tried everything imaginable, asking about Kavanaugh, Trump, and Russia. Nothing worked, and many agree his own personal animus blinded him from the larger theme of his own segment.
Despite endless media coverage and almost nonstop negative segments, it appears the Left has failed miserably to take down Trump or Kavanaugh.
For starters, the FBI conducted a seventh supplemental background investigation into Kavanaugh, and found that there was no evidence to corroborate allegations against the new appointed Supreme Court Justice.
Democrats endlessly attacked Kavanaugh and smeared his family for over a month, but it was all for naught. He was confirmed to the High Court, and both the Senate and FBI agreed there was no evidence to corroborate any of the outright lies and slanderous accusations against Kavanaugh.
Secondly, neither the FBI nor the special counsel has presented a shred of evidence that Trump conspired with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election. After more than two years of investigating, there’s zero evidence that Trump colluded with Russia, acted unethically, or broke any laws.
Perhaps students aren’t fired up to vote for Democrats because they haven’t accomplished anything in years. Despite Soboroff clearly trying to nudge students into supporting Democrats, his segment backfired so badly he even admitted it was “shocking.”
With the midterms less than 30 days away, liberals are already starting to hit the panic button, as it appears their two-year plot to take down Trump hasn’t worked.
Watch what happened when I asked a bus stop full of CA students if they'd vote in their *key* midterm district.
While Trump's latest fire drill is underway, here's something else to think about: why young Americans don't vote.
