During an interview on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” several days ago, Jennifer Rubin, a bitter, pathetic, hate-filled, anti-Trump journalist and MSNBC contributor, sparked a massive amount of outrage after she stirred vile hate on the network and basically endorsed thug tactics against White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
According to Rubin, the press secretary, who was recently kicked out of a restaurant in Virginia, has no right to live free of any fuss and should be given a life sentence of discomfort for supposedly “lying to the press” and “inciting against the press,” which is incomprehensibly absurd.
“Frankly, the next time that Sarah Huckabee Sanders or the president starts in with ‘fake news’ or ‘enemy of the people,’ I would suggest one of two things: either the entire press core walk out of the briefing room — why should they put on air a coded word to every nut case in America to come after them? So, get up and leave. Or, in unison, holler back,” she reasoned.
After making this initial point, she then went on to bash practically all of the journalists who attend the press briefings and supported her attack on them by engaging in utterly insane fear mongering.
“They sit there. They take it. They record it. ‘We have to be there. We have to let them say their piece.’ No, you don’t,” complained Rubin before adding, quite delusionally, “your lives are all in danger. Your lives are on the line.”
Hilariously, though, Rubin doesn’t seem to realize how little of an effect that would have. If all of the anti-Trump reporters, for instance, walked out of the room, then Sanders would just answer questions from the reporters who remain. And if all of the anti-Trump reporters decided to holler back at Sanders, then the White House would just use their incivility to either put an end to the press briefings, revoke their individual access to the press briefings, or modify the way that briefings are done.
“You have to do what is most effective. I don’t think the most effective thing to do is to throw Sarah Huckabee Sanders out of a restaurant… But what is most successful is getting a million people on the street to protest,” reasoned Rubin.
“So let’s redirect all of that good, pent-up energy into something that makes a difference. Let’s get a million people to go to Maine, or a million people to go to Alaska and put pressure on the Senators. So it is perfectly civil to do that,” she added.
Disturbingly, though, after making this point, Rubin then went a step further and called on others to actively try and make Sanders’ life miserable.
“No one is telling them to be violent protesters, but we’re not going to go let these people go through life unscathed,” claimed the deranged journalist.
“Sarah Huckabee has no right to live a life of no fuss, no muss, after lying to the press, after inciting against the press,” she continued, adding, “these people should be made uncomfortable, and I think that is a life sentence.”
By saying this, Rubin is basically inciting others to mob and harass Trump employees whenever they go out in public. Alarmingly, though, a similar intimidation tactic was also used by the so-called “Brownshirts” in Nazi Germany.
Unsurprisingly, Rubin’s vile comments sparked a massive amount of outrage. One of the people most outraged by her thoughtless call to harass political enemies was Ben Shapiro, a well-known Jewish conservative whose revulsion of people promoting and adopting such tactics is more than understandable.
“When you look at Jen Rubin saying stuff like Sarah Huckabee Sanders should be made uncomfortable for life and she doesn’t have a right to be comfortable in the United States, well she does have a right not to be mobbed when she goes out to a gas station or goes out to eat dinner,” replied Shapiro when asked about the matter during a recent interview.
“The same people who are saying ‘bake the cake’ to religious bakers are saying that it’s a wonderful thing when a restaurant owner decides to deny service based on political affinity,” he added, attempting to point out their utter hypocrisy.
“People on the left have even gone further than that,” continued Shapiro after highlighting how inconsistent many opponents of Trump truly are.
“They’re talking about not just restaurant owners saying they don’t want Trump employees in their establishments, they’re talking about how it’s now okay for mobs to descend on other people’s establishments and drive people out of those establishments,” he explained, adding, “the level of insanity to which the left evolves every day is a testament to how much President Trump is in their heads and a testament to how their utopian idealism under President Obama has absolutely collapsed.”
Sadly, Sanders is far from the only conservative to be recently attacked for her association to President Donald Trump. Earlier this year, for example, liberal comedian Kathy Griffin appeared on ABC’s “The View” and retracted her apology to the president for posing with a fake replica of his head during a photo shoot.
After doing so, she then went on to attack President Trump and several other members of his family. In addition to attacking Trump and his family, she also made sure to lash out at Jeff Sessions, who is the current United States Attorney General (AG).
AG Sessions was also recently targeted by countless unhinged liberals, including California’s Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, for correctly pointing out that sheriffs are a “critical part of the Anglo-American heritage of law enforcement.”
And prior to that, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) went on a ludicrous Twitter rant and bashed Omar Navarro, an extremely outspoken conservative Latino politician currently campaigning for her seat in Congress, and Gen. Michael Flynn, a former Trump official who had just endorsed Navarro. On top of that, Waters also recently lashed out at President Trump calling him “Con Man Don.”
What’s worse, Waters has also called on others to essentially adopt Brownshirt tactics and harass political opponents.
Specifically, while speaking at an event earlier this month, she said, “if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere. We’ve got to get the children connected to their parents.”
To support her call for harassment, she added, “we don’t know what damage has been done to these children. All that we know is they’re in cages. They’re in prisons. They’re in jails. I don’t care what they call it, that’s where they are and Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this.”
Prior to Waters’ call to harassment and comments about Navarro, Flynn, and the president, liberal comedian Bill Maher slammed Scott Pruitt, who is the current administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), during an episode of his show on HBO by calling him an “eco-terrorist.”
Later in the episode, Maher went on to also slam everyone working at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency by heartlessly comparing them to the Gestapo.
Without a doubt, adopting Brownshirt tactics like relentlessly harassing political opponents in public must not be tolerated. Hopefully, more leftists will come to understand this and either put an end to the reprehensible tactics or abandon the left altogether.
