One of the most ironic displays of U.S. politics is to watch a millionaire Democrat ranting against certain policies that represent great news for the working class. Lamentably, this is exactly what millionaire House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said on Thursday regarding the benefits of the tax reform bill. Basically, it was the typical leftist rhetoric about how little people can´t simply understand what´s really good for them.
Believe it or not, Pelosi said that the bonuses and increased wags that companies are giving to their employees as result of President Trump tax reform bill were quite “pathetic.” I addition, she even likened it to receiving “crumbs.”
Basically, there´s nothing worse for a Democrat than watching a Republican administration create something that really benefits the working class. After all, the Democratic Party has always labeled itself as the group that represents the interests of common people.
Every time something like this happens, the first strategy is to demonize what the Republicans are doing and spin the facts in a way that eventually fits with the Democratic narrative. This was basically what many Democrats –including Pelosi- did when the tax bill was about to get passed.
As you might remember, this side of the political spectrum assured America that this would represent some kind of apocalypse. In fact, they even said this action would take money from the poor to give it to the rich. It was a great example of fear mongering, an ugly strategy that the Democratic Party has always used to demonize the counterpart and alienate its base.
Once this strategy is no longer useful, that´s when the real action begins. At the moment when the Democrats realize that their previous operation would not get results, they started to attack those who will benefit from the Republican policy in question.
This way, it wasn’t a surprise when Pelosi tried to mislead everyone by providing really inaccurate claims. She assured everyone that one of the bonuses given was in a union contract, and according to her words, then “they added a little more money to that.” She also explained that the same firm recently told the workers they were going to dismiss almost 2,000 people and that if they wanted to prevent this same fate, they would have to start working 32 hours.
Naturally, the problem with this claim is not only the fact that it´s a blatant lie, it’s the classic socialist rhetoric.
Lamentably, this wasn’t the only terrible comment she would make. Pelosi also said that to put the “schmooze” on the bonus that corporate America received versus “crumbs” they are giving to employees is “so pathetic.”
Also, she hoped that they would invest in infrastructure considering “their big advantage” of what she described as bringing home at a very low rate. However, she pointed out this would not happen since she assured everyone that they will seek “dividends and buy-backs.”
While she could say anything she wants and manipulate reality in the way she feels most comfortable with, the problem here is that the facts contradict her claims. Of course, this is what happens with most of the Democratic talking points.
According to a list from Americans for Tax Reform, more than two million American workers have received bonus thanks to the Republican tax bill. In fact, some of these bonuses range as high as $3,000.
🔴 Nancy Pelosi proves how out of touch she is w/ the middle class when she says, $1000 pay increase is pathetic "crumbs", because she spends that on an evening dinner in San Francisco.

Also, other major companies including Wells Fargo and Walmart announced that as a response to the tax bill, they will increase their starting hourly wage. In addition, more than 80 percent of U.S. citizens are expected to see their taxes go down this year thanks to the tax bill, which Pelosi previously claimed would result in “Armageddon.”
Naturally, the underlying issue in this whole situation is the fact that the Republican Party is now the one that represents the interests of the American working class. Of course, is not only a matter of how capitalist policies are way more beneficial for the low and middle class. In fact, the main element why this group of people is switching to Republicans is because of the poison of identity politics, which is now the Democratic creed.
Sadly, Pelosi´s comments clearly represent how her party is so out-of-touch with the working class American families who are not worth $30 million like she and many liberal politicians are.
