Man Arrested After Chase Ends In Car Crash Following Parking Lot Abduction Attempt

He reportedly crashed into a telephone pole while fleeing from a Kroger parking lot where he had just tried to abduct a 16-year-old girl.

46-year-old Juan Carlos De Leon Zañas was recently arrested by police officers in Clarksburg, West Virginia shortly after he attempted to abduct a teenage girl from a Kroger parking lot (pictured above).

Just recently, a man at a Kroger grocery store parking lot in Clarksburg, West Virginia allegedly tried to force a teenage girl into his van. His abduction attempt failed as concerned bystanders immediately got involved, prompting the suspect to flee.

While racing out of the grocery store parking lot, the driver, quite shockingly, struck multiple vehicles and then proceeded to race down the road before crashing into a telephone pole. Following the crash, law enforcement officials with the local police department arrived and placed the dangerous criminal under arrest.

Alarmingly, it has since been reported by at least one news outlet that he’s purportedly an illegal alien.

Specifically, officers with the Clarksburg Police Department arrested 46-year-old Juan Carlos De Leon Zañas and charged him with “fleeing with reckless indifference,” after allegedly crashing into several vehicles while driving recklessly. Although initial reports mentioned that there were two suspects, subsequent reports referred to only one suspect involved.

According to reports, Zañas attempted to convince an unidentified 16-year-old girl at a Kroger parking lot to get in his van to “go party.” Consequently, there are other charges also pending against him.

Apparently, Clarksburg Patrol Officer I. F. Thomas was nearby when the incident occurred and allegedly observed Zañas’ dangerously destructive escape.

“At that time, I observed the defendant drive through the Kroger parking lot in a reckless manner, almost hitting multiple subjects and sideswiping other vehicles,” explained officer Thomas, while speaking to reporters.

Upon witnessing Zañas smash into several vehicles and speed out of the parking lot, Thomas reportedly turned on his lights and siren and followed the suspect.

“And the defendant continued down West Pike Street toward Koupal Towers. I continued to follow the suspect observing the defendant drive his van into a telephone pole across from Koupal Towers,” recalled the officer.

After Zañas was arrested, he was reportedly taken to the North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $25,000.

In fact, upon being taken into custody and sent to the jail, he reportedly provided a driver’s license from El Salvador. Additionally, during his initial court appearance, he apparently needed a Spanish interpreter.

Sadly, it’s relatively common for American citizens to be hurt by illegal aliens.

For example, last month, law enforcement officials in California, which is a well-known “sanctuary state,” placed Ramon Alberto Escobar, a 47-year-old illegal alien who’s been deported six times, under arrest for allegedly engaging in the vicious murder of several people who had been sleeping outdoors in addition to assaulting four others.

According to reports, Escobar, who officers labeled a “violent predator,” is believed to have carried out three of the brutal attacks with a baseball bat and used bolt cutters in at least one of them.

A few days before that, Massachusetts law enforcement officials placed 27-year-old Franklin Freddy Meave Vazquez, who’s also an undocumented immigrant, under arrest for allegedly killing one person and wounding two others during a horrific stabbing spree while out on a fishing boat that was approximately fifty-five miles off of the coast.

Roughly one month prior to that, an illegal alien who had been living in the country unlawfully since 2005 was reportedly sentenced to a total of five years in prison for purportedly causing a car accident that killed a 23-year-old US Air Force airman.

Several weeks before that, a 36-year-old illegal immigrant from Peru was reportedly arrested by authorities in California for allegedly sexually assaulting several women while acting as a rideshare driver.

Prior to that, a 21-year-old national from El Salvador who’s also an alleged MS-13 gang member was found guilty of luring a 15-year-old boy to a secluded park in Massachusetts. Once there, the illegal alien and some of his fellow gang members promptly murdered him.

And before that, another undocumented immigrant who’s also an MS-13 gang member was taken into custody in Maryland for purportedly helping other gang members brutally kill an unidentified man. He also reportedly helped them dispose of the dead body.

In addition to harming countless American citizens, there have also been numerous illegal aliens who have been caught undermining the integrity of the US voting process.

For example, earlier this year, Texas law enforcement officials arrested an undocumented immigrant for allegedly placing votes on other people’s ballots without their knowledge or consent, for candidates who she was purportedly paid to support while volunteering at a polling station.

And prior to that, authorities in Texas arrested another illegal alien and charged her with “voter impersonation and ineligible voting” for allegedly stealing someone else’s identity and then using that stolen identity to unlawfully vote in a multitude of past elections.
