Leftist Gillum Staffer Fired For Extremist Rhetoric

An employee hired by Andrew Gillum's campaign was fired for extremely insulting and degrading leftist rhetoric.

Leftist Andrew Gillum had to fire a staffer after he was outted for things like calling for the execution of Donald Trump.

As the November election draws near, politicians across the country are working to ‘get out the vote’ in their neck of the woods, hoping to defeat their opponents for powerful positions. In Florida, democrat-socialist Andrew Gillum has set his sights on the governorship, and is looking to defeat Ron DeSantis to get it.

While Gillum might be struggling with allegations that he is tied to an FBI investigation into alleged corruption at Tallahassee city hall, where he was the mayor, it seems he also has issues with staffers and volunteers for his campaign.

He recently had to fire one for offensive blog posts and his wardrobe choices. Specifically, the employee wore a shirt that called red states ‘dumbf**kistan,’ and called for the ‘execution’ of Donald Trump. Many people wonder if he learned that kind of ideology in Mrs. Clinton or Gillum’s staff meetings?

A ‘youth outreach’ staffer for Gillum’s campaign was terminated not for any one incident, but for a number of poor choices that he made concerning his political leanings.

For example, he took to Twitter to call for President Donald Trump’s death on the publicly-accessible social media site.

There was also an image of the individual, 24-year-old Manny Orozco-Ballestas, wearing a shirt, which declared the pro-Trump states in the United States to be ‘dumf**kistan,’ an effective way to denigrate a number of states while also insulting republican voters.

That image was found on Instagram, unearthed by blogger Jacob Engels, and published by the Tampa Bay Times, and it led state republicans to call for his termination.

If Mayor Gillum is hoping to win the governorship of Florida, he might want to avoid angering half the electorate.

His staffer, Orozco-Ballestas, also made a number of sexually graphic political posts and comments on social media in 2012 and 2013.

In 2013, he wrote to Donald Trump that he needs to “ be executed,” a disturbing comment from anyone in the political world.

In another post, he wrote that if an Instagram poster weighed “300 pounds+,” they should stop posting pictures of “fattening food” on the site.

When the post about the shirt, which showed ‘red states’ as ‘Dumbf**kistan’ and labeled blue states as ‘the United States of America,’ began to make the rounds on the news and on social media, the Republican Party of Florida immediately demanded that the young man be fired, and called his posts unacceptable.

Florida Republican Party Chairman Blaise Ingoglia said that he found it “unbelievable” that Andrew Gillum would hire, and promote on social media, a person of such terrible attitudes.

Ingoglia also suggested that it was hypocritical of the democrat gubernatorial candidate to employ someone who made the same kind of “hateful, intolerant” statements that he liked to denounce in front of crowds and cameras.

At the time, a spokeswoman for Gillum told the Times that they had addressed their staffer’s conduct issues, and that Orozco-Ballestas had only been working for them for about two weeks.

She also said that they wouldn’t be lectured about offensive words and imagery by “the party of Trump.”

In a statement on Saturday, the employee, who previously worked for the doomed Hillary Clinton campaign, apologized.

He said that he was “embarrassed, angry, and disappointed” with himself and his conduct, and that he took social media “for granted” when he was younger and was now reaping the consequences.

Ballestas also claimed that what he tweeted while he was a student was in no way an indication of who he was today.

Many people recognize that it certainly does seem hypocritical for Gillum, however, to employ such a person.

After all, he was the one who complained when DeSantis told voters not to “monkey this up,” a reference to the state’s growing economy, by voting for a ‘progressive socialist’ like his opponent.

Although the idiom was a common one, used by politicians including Barack Obama, Andrew Gillum and his political allies tried to paint it as a racist comment meant to ‘dog whistle’ to racist voters.

Gillum has attempted to portray himself as running a ‘kind’ campaign, without taking aim at his opponent with ‘cruel’ attack ads.

However, he has also repeatedly attempted to avoid discussion of his record, including allegations that he is under federal investigation for corruption at his city hall.

As of this writing, the leftist mayor is in the lead (like Hillary was).
