Sometimes a bad idea gets in and works with another bad idea to create a problem so big that it almost hurts the brain to process the results. For instance, the War on Drugs (which is a war on the right to be left alone if one is peaceful) is an idea that has cost us a fortune and killed more people than the drugs would have if no war was on at all. Borders that anyone can just walk over is also a tremendously bad idea, and now, the two have melded together as America pays the price.
Images leaked from the U.S. government clearly shows “surveillance images” which Breitbart News obtained that give a vivid look as “armed Mexican cartel smugglers” stroll right into the Land of the Free at “the U.S.-Mexico border and entering into Arizona,” they report.
The news site has only redacted any image that would show where the cameras were hidden. It is known that the pictures were taken “in an area of the Tucson Sector in the Huachuca Mountains.”
A group of criminals known as Los Salazar is said to control the area, and they are “aligned with the Sinaloa Federation.” There are various and intertwined groups fighting in the region, as well. That battle may soon be continuing right onto the streets of the U.S. thanks to our utterly useless border.
Tucson Sector Border Patrol Chief Rudolfo Karisch has said, “These appear to be authentic of criminal organizations coming across the border. This is not unique to Arizona, we have seen this in other parts of the country as well all along the Southwest border.”
He also said, “Any time you have illicit commodities crossing the border, you will have criminals trying to protect those commodities — both from law enforcement and from other bad guys.”
There again we have it: fighting over commodities, i.e., drugs. The War on Drugs leads to problems for everyone that are far more dangerous than the substances banned, at least to nonusers. Rather than allowing each person to make their own errors, we are literally policing ourselves to death and into a war!
Karisch continued by saying, “We acknowledge that these criminal organizations pose a threat to both U.S. and international security. Border security work is dangerous. We deal with transnational criminals, gang members, and other threats. They are trying to get their product through without encountering the public.”
As to whether these armed men pose a threat to the public, the Border Chief admitted, “The border is a dangerous place, but we train and equip our agents to respond and patrol these areas. We are out there to protect Americans who want to utilize these lands. We have mountain units and air mobile units that deploy on a regular basis. I want to assure the American public we are out there to protect them.”
Perhaps if we simply closed our borders up, demanded that all people apply legally in order to let them stay, stopped all benefits for illegals already here, and quit locking up people who are harming no one (we have laws already if they do no matter if drugs are a factor or not), then would take away the incentives for these monsters to come walking in ready to do battle.
Clearly, what we are doing now is not working.
