Kamala Harris, who got her political start by having an adulterous affair with former Mayor Willie Brown, has announced her bid for presidency. And while the media gushingly claimed she was already a “front-runner,” the polling numbers seem to show a different take.
In fact, two different polls showed that the most popular candidate among democrats was “none of the above.”
In a Hill.TV poll, 680 registered democrat and independents showed Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders topping the lists, while Harris garnered a mere four percent.
Likewise, a USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll found that “somebody entirely new” topped the polls of 689 Democrats and independents, taken by landline and cellphone Dec. 11-16.
Yet, now the media is claiming, in what appears to be another fake news story—or maybe it’s just the beginning of the propaganda that will tout Harris as the democrat’s best chance—that Harris is a “front-runner.”
“Kamala Harris emerges as a 2020 front-runner, but is that a good thing?” is a typical media headline assuming facts not in evidence. The way it’s written, it simply accepts that Harris must be a front-runner because of the number of people gathered up to attend her announcement.
“Even before Kamala Harris’ campaign launch in Oakland on Sunday, her nascent 2020 bid had already hit full gallop — a star turn on ‘Good Morning America,’ a self-reported seven-figure fundraising milestone, a friendly reception in a key primary state.
“With that fast start, Harris has stoked a perception that she is not just an elite candidate, but among the Democratic front-runners.”
Going on TV makes puts her at the top?
The rest of the article reads like a press release.
Perhaps the source of liberal media love is the fact that Harris centered her speech around attacking one of the most successful president’s in recent history.
She slammed President Trump’s plan for a border wall and pushed “Medicare for All,” along with other progressive agendas.
Claiming to fight for the ‘working’ people, Harris said, “I am running to declare, once and for all, that health care is a fundamental right, and to deliver that right with ‘Medicare for All.’ To declare education is a fundamental right, and we will guarantee that right with universal pre-k and debt-free college.”
“Folks, on the subject of transnational gangs, let’s be perfectly clear: The president’s medieval vanity project is not going to stop them,” Harris claimed.
Really? A barrier wouldn’t stop these criminals at least a little bit? Come on.
Harris also stated she would reverse the current administration’s tax cuts to pay for what she considered to be “the largest working and middle-class tax cut in decades.”
She explained her campaign slogan “‘For the People’ meant fighting for a more fair criminal justice system at the height of the war on drugs by creating a first-of-its-kind initiative to allow first-time offenders to get skills and job training instead of jail time — at a time when reentry and prevention and redemption were not in the vocabulary or mindset of most district attorneys.”
She spewed on about the ‘American democracy,’ which is a fallacy. America is a representative republic.
“It’s fitting that Harris chose the most liberal district in deep-blue California to launch her campaign,” said RNC Spokesman Michael Ahrens. “Government-run health care, weaker borders and higher taxes might be popular there, but her liberal policies are totally out-of-step with most Americans. President Trump has led this country to record economic highs and strengthened our national security, and it’s why he’s going to be re-elected in 2020.”
Larry Wallace, a senior adviser for Sen. Harris, resigned last month after the Sacramento Bee “inquired about a $400,000 harassment and retaliation settlement resulting from his time working for Harris at the California Department of Justice.”
Harris claimed she didn’t know that one of her top aides was a perverted predator. But, that’s really nothing surprising for democrats.
