When United States President Donald Trump was given the nuclear launch codes – even in the run up to him winning -the Democrats were crowing like blackbirds that he was going to start World War III. Somehow a man who ran on a platform of American jobs, a rich economy, strong borders and good trade deals was a warmonger. Never mind the fact that a costly war would derail the Trump train, the left never bothers to think much of anything through before they speak.
In matters of war, Trump has only ever said that he would respond if attacked, that he would utterly decimate ISIS and that if Russia kept provoking our ships with fighter jets (as they are) that he would have to reply. Otherwise, Trump has run on one of the most peaceful, libertarian-like stances when it comes to warfare than either party has seen in perhaps a generation. However, with nation’s such as Iran testing weapons in contradiction to their word and deals made (terribly) by John Kerry, the president may be presented with no other choice. Sadly, Iran has again launched another such test, according to Zero Hedge.
Iranian News Agency Tasnim is reporting that Iran has conducted this latest test in breach of contract from a navy vessel. The rocket was called the Hormuz 2 and is reported to be “…designed to destroy moving targets at sea at ranges up to 300 km (180 miles).” Iran last month conducted a test that it openly bragged was in purposeful defiance of the test ban and contract that they willfully signed. It is clear that breaking one’s word is of no matter for these “holy men” who mocked Obama, Kerry and incoming President Donald Trump.
The commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Force, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, said, “the naval ballistic missile called Hormuz 2 successfully destroyed a target which was 250 km away.” These statements are coming with great boldness. Should Iran ever do as they have threatened and block the Strait of Hormuz, then war on an epic scale will be likely unleashed. At some points, the whole Strait is only 40 km wide, so a blockade, logistically speaking, would not be very hard to accomplish for Iran.
The missiles that Iran fired were two Fateh-110 Mod 3’s that have “active seeker” technology, which works to assist the weapon in locating the targets, even whilst moving. One of the rockets missed its target, but landed “in the vicinity” and the other one was a perfect success. This lead an anonymous source (who was not authorized to speak openly) to say, “It’s a concern based on the range and that one of the missiles worked.”
Zero Hedge also recalls that there was a lot of media hype and fanfare two years ago when “Iranian cruise missiles destroyed a large barge designed to look like an American aircraft carrier.” To put this into perspective, if Donald Trump was to put mock Russian warships into a war games scenario, what would be the understandable response from Vladimir Putin? How is it that so many people on the left side of the argument can support Iran considering the boundless evil and trident disrespect that is shown by them?
This is the 14th(!) time that Iran has broken their word on the matter since Kerry and Obama decided to trust the mercurial nation in July of 2015. For such high end and expensive weapons, this is a sizable number of tests, too. Beyond that, those who are of a differing form of Islam than the barbarians within Iran have to be wondering just how much of this they can take. The whole stability of the region and the commerce that flows through it could all come to a screeching halt should Iran become even more haughty.
As Trump struggles to mount the many pointless obstructions on his way to get America OUT of the Middle East and into producing our own energy, Iran is playing with fire by making any moves in open waters where trade is involved. We do know that only days ago the U.S. Navy ship in the Strait of Hormuz had to change course when an Iranian vessel came within 600 yards of it. For ships of this size, it is like coming within handshaking (or spitting) distance. America stood down and did not take the action that was called for, again. If Iran is perceiving Trump’s kindness and patience as weakness, they are going to get a horrendous reality check if they persist.
This is because, just like much of the left, perhaps they have only really absorbed the Trump snippets. If they would spend a bit more time really absorbing what Trump really says then they would understand that he is a counter puncher. His goals are to make America great and to get us out of war and conflicts that we have no business being in. However, if Iran wishes to make it our business to be there, they need to understand that Trump will not be afraid to swoop in and peck out the eyes of their nuclear missile ambitions.
War and bloodshed are not wanted by anyone on the American side. To be fair, for all of the faults found in both Obama and Kerry, they did not want war with Iran, either. The only ones at the table that are desiring war is Iran and sadly, it looks at though they may get it. Just as North Korea found that defensive THADD systems were given to South Korea following Kim Jung Un’s provocations, so will Iran awaken one day to find that America has had enough. They would be wise to think of this option before pushing that little red button for many more illegal tests.
