Illegal Immigration ERASED In Months As Hungary Leadership Declares Migrant “Invasion”

24/7 patrols and razor wire fences have had a big part in the dramatic decrease in illegal migrant crossings.

It has been pointed out many times by immigration reform advocates that the United States is among the few who have allowed their immigration laws to be completely discarded. That is somewhat true. However, as we know, Europe has also been lax, allowing waves of refugees to overwhelm their countries. Only now are they coming to the realization of the amount of destruction this can cause.

One country in Europe wasn’t fooled though. The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, seemed to know from the beginning that an open border wasn’t the right solution for anyone. When he expressed that, along with his intent to protect his citizens, he bore the brunt of harsh criticism from every corner.

Orban did not cave, did not even waver. He knew what had to be done and waded forward full force. Earlier this year he remarked, “This is how the world’s most bizarre coalition of people smugglers, human rights activists, and elite European politicians came into existence, specifically to deliberately bring millions of migrants into Europe.”

He also told everyone that he welcomed “true refugees,” those seeking a safe place from their European countries that had been overrun. “We shall let in true refugees. Germans, Dutch, French and Italians, terrified politicians and journalists who here in Hungary want to find the Europe they have lost in their homelands.”

Then, with critics raging, he began securing his country. Not having to endure the legal actions of liberals as President Trump has been forced to do, Prime Minister Orban built not just one wall but two.

The second one was recently completed in the town of Asotthalom in the south of Hungary. Reports say that from a distance, the wall doesn’t appear too foreboding. It stretches 96 miles and is 14 feet tall. A closer examination reveals the dangers, several layers of electrified razor wire, cameras, heat sensors, and loudspeakers. If anyone gets close, they are greeted with the warning that if they touch the fence, they will be breaking Hungarian law.

Besides the indomitable wall, several hundred military officers and “border hunters” patrol the length of the border, furthering discouraging attempts to cross. That is not the end by any means.

Those that do somehow get across are quickly captured and released on the other side of the wall.

Almost every police officer in the country takes turns on a rotation to ensure that the border is patrolled at all times. Military bases, reportedly temporary, have been erected in locations to house the patrols.

Hungary has implemented a system of volunteers to help as well. More than 1,000 people have gone through extensive training and will receive hefty salaries and benefits when they become “border hunters.”

The areas around the fence are closed to visitors. Any who wish to get close must apply in advance for a pass. No photos may be taken of the guards for security purposes.

If a migrant somehow gets across, they are met with more patrols. They will be arrested and promptly let go, on the Serbian side of the border. No applications for asylum are accepted unless they are done at specific “transit zones.” Applicants are held in housing containers until a decision is reached in their case.

Opponents have called the system cruel and inhuman. Is the situation in Sweden and Germany, rapes, murders, riots, no-go zones, and a native culture being decimated, acceptable? It seems to be for the human rights groups that say migrants should be taken in at any cost.

Powerful leaders such as President Trump and Prime Minister Orban see the bigger picture and are determined to protect their citizens. The results of Orban’s policies are undeniable. The border went from seeing 6,353 migrants one day to 870 the next. Illegal crossings have dropped to an incredible 40 per say since then.

The mayor of Asotthalom told reporters that he is grateful for the measures. More people should listen to what he has to say.

“It was an invasion. Illegal immigration is a crime in a normal country. It’s not a normal thing to break into a country.”
