House GOP Refuses To Release Memo To DOJ Or FBI For Fear Of Corruption
The classified memo will not be handed over, and the House may release it to the public next week

The GOP is desperately trying to stop the corruption once and for all.
House Republicans are refusing to show the Justice Department and FBI the secret memo detailing gross misconduct by federal officials investigating alleged Russia collusion in the 2016 presidential election, saying Deep State actors cannot be trusted.
The memo reportedly reveals disturbing abuses of power from former President Barack Obama holdovers to derail President Donald Trump. Several top GOP lawmakers say it is the most disturbing document they have ever seen.
Politico reports that the memo, which was compiled House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes and his top aides, contains details about high-ranking FBI officials abusing their power to obtain a warrant under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to spy on Trump and his campaign last year.
GOP lawmakers say they will not allow the DOJ and FBI to review the memo because many fear the agencies will alter the document or try to conceal its findings.
“They’re the ones that have the problem,” said Texas Republican Rep. Mike Conaway. “I think given the seriousness of this one and the players, this should go to the president first.”
Conaway said lawmakers plan to share the memo with Trump and will ask him to decide whether the FBI and DOJ should have access to the scathing document.
Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee passed a vote last week to allow other members of Congress to read copies in a secure room from inside the Capitol. More than 200 lawmakers have read the memo, and many have called it arguably the biggest scandal in modern political history.
“It is so alarming the American people have to see this,” said Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan.
“It’s troubling. It is shocking,” North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows said. “Part of me wishes that I didn’t read it because I don’t want to believe that those kinds of things could be happening in this country that I call home and love so much.”
Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz said he believes the memo being made public could result in top officials losing their jobs and even some going to prison.
“I believe the consequence of its release will be major changes in people currently working at the FBI and the Department of Justice,” he said, referencing DOJ officials Rod Rosenstein and Bruce Ohr.
The memo details how Obama holdovers abused their power and acted corruptly at the highest levels of the FBI and DOJ to spy on Trump, launch the phony Russia investigation, and promoting the discredited dossier.
As Republicans turn up the heat, we may be closer than ever to exposing how Obama’s Deep State worked to undermine our democracy and attempted to derail Trump’s presidency.
