Comey Must Testify

“Happy Thanksgiving!” Comey Gets Subpoenaed

In a move that has many conservatives thankful, James Comey has been subpoenaed by House Republicans.

Comey has been subpoenaed by the House.

Former FBI Director James Comey tweeted yesterday that he was served a subpoena along with Turkey and mashed potatoes.

House Republicans are apparently still working, much to the ire of democrats, and they have ordered Comey to testify, but he has ‘refused’ unless the hearing is public.

“Happy Thanksgiving. Got a subpoena from House Republicans. I’m still happy to sit in the light and answer all questions. But I will resist a ‘closed door’ thing because I’ve seen enough of their selective leaking and distortion,” Comey tweeted.

“Let’s have a hearing and invite everyone to see,” he added.

That sounds great to most conservatives.

The Hill reported earlier this month that House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) was planning to subpoena Comey to testify on Capitol Hill before Democrats take control of the committee in January.

“The GOP chairman last week provided notice to Rep. Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.), the top Democrat on the panel and presumed incoming chairman, that he also intended to subpoena former Attorney General Loretta Lynch.”

Comey responded by saying he was open to testifying, but wants to do it during an open session.

“Republicans are keen to question Comey over records he reportedly made of his private conversations with President Trump before he was fired.”

Comey’s excuses are endless, but many people wonder if House GGOP members will question him about his phone call to Robert Mueller that was suspiciously timed before the Special Counsel was established.

Comey has also claimed never disclosed classified information to Columbia University law professor Daniel Richman.

Richman gave the info to The New York Times, in what many people consider his direct orders, which then prompted the Mueller witch hunt.

Democrats are less than pleased.

“It is unfortunate that the outgoing Majority is resorting to these tactics,” Nadler said today.

“Months ago, Director Comey and Attorney General Lynch both indicated their willingness to answer the Chairman’s questions voluntarily. My understanding is that the Republicans have had no contact with either the Director or the Attorney General since,” he added, stating that the subpoenas are “coming out of the blue.”

Perhaps there will be more?

Actually, these actions aren’t out of the blue, most people think they are a last ditch effort by a few true patriots left in the House, who want to see justice done and expose the rank misdeeds of the former administration.

Many agree that James Comey was a slimy weasel who tried to destroy President Trump and then created the means for it to happen. Conservatives know that ‘intent’ has nothing to do with guilt when it comes to classified information, but James Comey chose to let Hillary Clinton off the hook.

Such behavior is reprehensible, and many want to see them all brought to justice.
