Recently, ‘Beto’ O’Rourke told followers “H*ll, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47!” However, an Arizona entrepreneur used that boast to his advantage, holding “Beto Specials” and selling out both of those rifles in hours!
Beto later clarified how he’ll “compel” gun owners to hand over their defensive weapons, but apparently, people in Arizona didn’t get the message. Instead, they started stocking them.
“I saw the comments that he made, and I was kinda like, ‘You know what: the Hell with this guy.’”
Boggs said O’Rourke’s made determined to sell more guns – even if it meant losing money on them. So, the next morning he announced his “Beto Specials” on AR15 and AK47 rifles on his store’s Facebook page:
Beto O’Rourke said “hell yes we’re taking your AR’s”. Well Beto, we’re discounting AR15’s to such a low price that EVERY AMERICAN can afford one. How about the low low price of just $349.99? Yeah, that works. Available online only. Go to www.alphadogfirearmsaz.com and look for all our AR15 and AK47 deals under the BETO SPECIALS tab. Deals and discounts will be added fresh all day!
Alpha Dog Firearms was so overwhelmed with customers – selling 200 rifles in two hours – that Boggs had to post an afternoon update on Facebook:
UPDATE: SOLD OUT. More deals will be on the website soon. Y’all broke our internet today!!!
Boggs and Alpha Dog Firearms are no strangers to colorful promotions. On Sunday, Alpha Dog hosted an “Area 51 Invasion Training” event at a local shooting range. “Come out to the Alien Shoot,” Boggs says in a Facebook video live from the event.
Later, Beto explained that he will “compel” Americans to turn over their guns by using fines and ‘law.’
He was asked how he plans to make Americans comply with his AR-15 ban and he said, “I begin by saying we expect our fellow Americans to follow the law. If they do not there would be a fine imposed to compel them to follow the law.”

O’Rourke went to talk about the example of Australia, citing how that country put in place a similar ban. He claimed Australia witnessed, “a near 50 percent reduction in gun violence deaths” as a result. But O’Rourke did not mention that rifles are not a statistically significant contributor to overall gun deaths in the U.S.
In fact, FBI crime stats for 2017 show there were 403 rifle-related deaths for the year, and those deaths were from all kinds of rifles combined–breech action, pump action, bolt action, lever action, semiautomatic, etc. Crossing the street resulted in over 5,800 deaths in 2017.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation reports there are 16 million-plus privately owned AR-15s in the U.S.
