Top Republican lawmakers have unveiled the “Unmasking Antifa Act of 2018,” a major piece of legislation that would carry a potential 15-year prison sentence for anyone arrested for wearing a mask and engaging in violent behaviors. As noted by The Hill, this is a major piece of legislation that could force the domestic terrorist group to splinter.
The bill was introduced last month by Republican Reps. Dan Donovan, Pete King, Paul Gosar, and Ted Budd. Under this measure, anyone who participates in violent actions while masked as an Antifa terrorist will be thrown in prison for more than a decade. That is something many, many Americans agree with and support.
If signed into law, the bill states that anyone “wearing a mask” or disguise who “injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates any person … in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege” would be hit with a major fine or forced to serve 15 years in prison.
Antifa is a violent group of hardcore leftists who wear masks, riot gear, and seek to inflict violence against anyone who supports President Donald Trump. Exactly like the democrats who were members of the Ku Klux Klan.
In the United States alone, there are tens of thousands of deranged liberals who are members of this domestic terror group. They have made it a top priority to torment, harass, and assault Trump supporters in public.
Group members wear masks so they protect their identity, because their behavior is so abhorrent and chilling that they are afraid to show their own face in public.
When Antifa holds a rally or event in an area, they seek conflict, destroy property, and try to confront anyone who opposes their message. They often try to outnumber people, where the group cowardly singles out one or two people and tries to intimidate them.
On a large scale, this left-wing group only abides by their own rules, assume no responsibility for assaulting Trump supporters, and destroy cities simply because they are triggered by something.
This new bill would have a major impact on the terror group and how they can operate long term.
If anyone wears a mask and/or carries out violence as part of the group, they could spend up to 15 years in prison. That is a huge deal, and will likely result in the domestic terror group being severely hampered long term. Taking away their ability to hide behind a mask means they can legally be held accountable for their actions.
With Republicans controlling both the House and Senate, many support this bill and want to see it passed.
