Democrats have absolutely no compunction about committing crimes. And although these generally take the form of attacking people or their property, occasionally, a bright leftist will stage a hate crime hoax. Dauntarius Williams did that very thing, causing an uproar in Manhattan, Kansas. However, he’s said he’s sorry, so he won’t face any punishment.

That’s right. After vandalizing his own vehicle with racial slurs, filing a police report, and contacting local news outlets to say that he was leaving the university over racial intolerance, he has now admitted that he was responsible for the disgusting act.

The racist graffiti was placed by an intolerant bigot whose backward view of the world caused him to lash out at others, but it wasn’t a white supremacist, it was Williams.

The hate crime investigation fizzled out after officials learned that the victim fabricated the race attack. For filing the police report, wasting everyone's time, and accusing someone in the town of racist hate, the student will face no charges for his despicable actions.

Police said that after uncovering the fact that Williams had vandalized his own vehicle, Riley County Police Director Brad Schoen and the Riley County Attorney Barry Wilkerson held a series of conversations.

The two law enforcement officials decided that despite having filed a false police report and starting a huge mess, filing criminal charges against the race-baiter would not be in the best interests of the citizens of Manhattan.

Originally from California, Williams decorated his own hood with slogans that heavily featured the N-word, while “White’s Only,” “Die,” and “Date your own kind,” were also scrawled on the windshield and side doors of the car.

Reports of the incident caused African American students on the Kansas State University campus to call for a meeting to talk about racial intolerance at the school. Moreover, the Associated Press reported last week that the university was “stepping up police patrols … reviewing the need for additional cameras across campus,” and “making progress on a multicultural student center and hiring two top leadership positions tasked with diversity issues” on its main campus in Manhattan.

All because of the actions of one hater, who lied to police and everyone else by fabricating a “hate crime.”

This woman helped Williams clean off the racial slurs he'd placed there. She thought Williams was a victim.

In a news release, police said that Williams “expressed sincere regret that his actions had resulted in the negative media attention that resulted.”

So, was he regretful that he got caught? That’s the way it sounds.

Williams went to a gas station to get materials to clean the car. While there, he was sympathized with by workers who helped him remove his own handiwork.

Social media post went viral of the so-called racist attack. However, Williams did all of this himself.

Social media posts went viral of the so-called racist attack. However, Williams did all of this himself.

Williams wrote, “The whole situation got out of hand when it shouldn’t have even started. It was just a Halloween prank that got out of hand. I wish I could go back to that night but I can’t. I just want to apologize from the bottom of my heart for the pain and news I have brought you all,” he said.

Wrong. It was not a Halloween prank. It was deliberate action designed to stir up racial dissension within the community and make himself a victim. This sort of behavior generally indicates some type of mental disorder. Allowing him to walk for such conduct is outrageous.

Andrew Hammond, a journalism student at the school and one of the first to spread the crime on social media, told the local paper that he was “outraged and hurt” to learn about the fraud.

“As a black student who has witnessed racist incidents first-hand around Manhattan this hurts the credibility of students who actually want to step out and say something about it,” Hammond said. “I’m not sure what type of human being does this kind of thing as a prank.”

Exactly.

It is a crime to create a false police report for a reason. Efforts were put into investigations, and the community was labeled a racist hotbed because of Williams despicable actions. He should be held responsible for all of the time and money spent by local law enforcement and the FBI’s civil rights investigation, and be made to reimburse it.

Such behavior is atrocious, wrong, and disgusting. It is only equaled by the authorities’ decision to allow the perpetrator to go free.
