The candidate is refusing to concede the hotly contested election, in what seems to be massive sour grapes.
On Wednesday morning she said, “I want to say this: if I wasn’t your first choice or if you made no choice at all, you’re gonna have a chance to do a do-over.”
“When you chose me as your Democratic nominee, I made you a vow,” she declared. “In our Georgia, no one would be unseen, no one is unheard and no one is uninspired.”
“Tonight, we have closed the gap between yesterday and tomorrow,” Abrams continued. “But we still have a few more miles to go.”
Her campaign manager Lauren Groh-Wargo said her campaign thinks there are outstanding votes and provisional and absentee ballots that could put her over the top.
However, she’d need (after the 3.9 million votes that have already been counted), at least two more percentage points to snatch a victory from the ashes of her campaign.
Many people think that she (and other democrat royalty) knew that she didn’t have a chance, and that’s why Oprah and other wealthy elitists got off their cushy couches and went to the state to stump for her.
By tacitly promising a recount, Abrams and her minions believe they can trigger a run-off election.
She suggested that a victory was “just within reach,” and hinted that Kemp, the state’s secretary of state, had made it more difficult for her supporters to vote.
“I’m not going to name names, but some have worked hard to take our votes away,” she told supporters.
The race was marked by both sides bringing out their big guns. Over $100 Million was spent, and it was recently announced that democrats were behind a hacking scheme involving the state’s registration system.
According to reports, “A private citizen had warned that it was possible to change voter information — or delete it entirely — on the state’s online voter registration system. The individual had tipped off the Democratic party, while a lawyer the citizen spoke with had told the FBI and Kemp’s counsel.”
“There was never a hack,” Abrams, some-how claimed. “What was wrong is that he failed to do his job. He is abusing his power,” she said regarding Kemp.
The president supported Kemp and told reporters Abrams was “not qualified to be governor of Georgia, not qualified.”
“Take a look at her past, take a look at her history, take a look at what she wants to do and what she has in mind for the state. That state will be in big, big trouble very quickly, and the people of Georgia don’t want that,” Trump stated.
Abrams was caught on video promising that illegal aliens would be part of the so-called blue wave.
Additionally, a handful of Georgia voters represented by liberal Project Democracy, filed an emergency lawsuit trying to stop Kemp from “exercising any further powers of the Secretary of State’s Office in presiding over the 2018 general election, in which he himself is a candidate.”
However, it seems that all the dirty tricks were a waste of time… perhaps this last one will be too.
Update: Bill Nelson, the loser in Florida is also calling for a recount in that state.
