Kavanaugh Accuser's Demands

Ford’s Lawyers Issue New Demands Before Agreeing To Testify

Ford is demanding no questions from attorneys, Kavanaugh cannot be in the same room, and Kavanaugh must testify first.

Christine Ford appears to have lied under oath about polygraph allegations against Kavanaugh.

Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her almost 40 years ago, has agreed to testify in Congress, but there’s a huge catch.

According to Fox News, Ford’s legal team has informed Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, that she will only consider testifying if her demands are met. Her legal team is demanding that only lawmakers, not lawyers, ask her questions. They are also mandating that Kavanaugh testify first and that he not be allowed in the same room as Ford.

As many would agree, this is clearly a plot to delay the process.

Ford’s attorneys, Lisa Banks and Debra Katz, have signaled that she will consider testifying before the committee next Thursday if her demands are met.

Here’s part of what Banks and Katz wrote in their letter to Grassley:

“She wishes to testify, provided that we can agree on terms that are fair and which ensure her safety.”

“As you are aware, she has been receiving death threats, which have been reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and she and her family have been forced out of their home. She wishes to testify, provided that we can agree on terms that are fair and ensure her safety.”

For someone who claims she only wants to tell her story, she has imposed a plethora of demands and ultimatums before she even considers talking to lawmakers.

As noted by Conservative Daily Post, Ford came forward publicly last week and accused Kavanaugh of pinning her down and groping her at a party roughly 35 years ago when they were in high school.

Kavanaugh strongly denies the allegations, and several classmates have defended him by saying they never witnessed him do what Ford claims he did.

Kavanaugh has also agreed to testify on Monday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Ford previously argued that she will not speak with lawmakers until a law enforcement investigation is launched into her claims.

Soon after the FBI declined Ford’s request that it open a probe into the allegations, Ford’s team moved on and conjured up a new set of demands.

In addition to Ford listing conditions before she even considers testifying next Thursday, even top Democrats have speculated about the accuracy of her claims.

Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Democrat Dianne Feinstein, D-CA, has not only refused multiple requests to provide the Committee with the unredacted letter she claims she received from Ford, she also admitted earlier this week that she “can’t say everything’s truthful,” with what Ford alleges.

Whether it’s the endless circus acts from Democrats, Feinstein admitting that she doesn’t know how “truthful” the allegations are, or Ford refusing to testify until her demands are met, a number of conservatives argue that the entire ordeal is nothing more than a last ditch effort from Democrats to block Kavanaugh.

Republicans have been more than accommodating and have even offered to travel to California so Ford can privately testify — she has refused.

At what point will the GOP recognize Democrats are obviously using stall tactics and move on with the confirmation hearing?

How much more does Kavanaugh and his family have to go through?
