Liberals are now on edge as Attorney General Jeff Sessions is expected to fire McCabe, an ire to President Donald Trump and embarrassment to the nation.
The FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility recommended that McCabe be fired after an internal investigation deemed he potentially violated the law in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
The decision is important because if Sessions fires McCabe before he retires, it can result in him losing the full benefits he was set to receive from the bureau.
McCabe “stepped down” last month to avoid public humiliation ahead of an upcoming report exposing his dirty actions.
Allegations of impropriety and potentially illegal behavior from McCabe is expected to be detailed in the upcoming report from Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
Horowitz has been leading an investigation of the FBI’s handling of the investigation into Clinton’s private server and deleting tens of thousands of emails.
Horowitz’s report will reportedly state McCabe authorized FBI officials to speak with friendly media reporters to water down the allegations against Clinton during the 2016 presidential election.
McCabe allowed his associate to speak with the Wall Street Journal in Oct. 2016 about an article discussing the FBI and DOJ clashing over the handling of the various investigations into Clinton.
The McCabe-allied source not only downplayed the severity of Clinton’s crimes, they also tried to stymie a probe into the Clinton Foundation for “pay-for-play” allegations.
The internal watchdog also determined McCabe initially lied when questioned by investigators about his involvement in the situation.
Horowitz’s report will also show McCabe ordered officials to delay the FBI’s investigation into the Clinton probes to shield her 2016 presidential campaign.
Sessions is expected to fire McCabe, which would likely bar the corruption-plagued official from receiving his cushy retirement benefits.
McCabe was a corrupt Clinton-ally who should be fired, and he doesn’t deserve to receive full benefits for the rest of his life.
