History is full of poisoned rulers. Recent history with Russia has shown that the practice may not be obsolete, and now the Hill has confirmed that according to Eric Trump, every member of the Trump family has received “white powder” in the mail.
Host Sean Hannity got the information firsthand while interviewing America’s First Son. When asked if he was threatened, Trump replied, “I’ve been threatened. Our family’s been threatened. All of us. We’ve all had white powder show up at our house.” The unimaginable hypocrisy of the modern left feeling that Trump supporters are a threat seems to be showing. It is not thought that the right ever treated the Obama‘s in a similar fashion, though a few nutcases likely existed.
Just last February, Trump’s wife, Vanessa Trump, was taken to the hospital after just such a white powder scare. The substance was deemed to be “non-hazardous” in that instance. A man of 24 from Massachusetts was arrested for having sent the hoax along with the cryptic words, “you are getting what you deserve.”
This person got “five counts of mailing a threat to injure a person and five counts of mailing a hoax threat,” so this should be a lesson to others debating such mindless mailing practices.
The Hill reminded readers that Trump Tower was hit with two different white powder scares during the 2016 election. In both cases, it was not anthrax nor anything harmful.
That said, not only does sending such powder stall things and create panic, not only does it force medical staff and first responders to be tied up with what is often baby powder, but it diminishes anthrax scares.
This happens because after false alarm number 500, the public hears about ‘another white powder hoax’ and they don’t really take the threat as real.
That being true, if the average citizen starts to lose their due vigilance (particularly in the time of not only terrorism but when both sides of the American political spectrum is at each other’s throats, as well) this only makes it a bit easier for a real threat to get through.
