The long-awaited report from the Department of Justice’s inspector general was released on Friday, and it justifies the firing of former Federal Bureau of Investigation Deputy Director Andrew McCabe for committing several violations, according to Fox News.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama, has been investigating serious allegations regarding McCabe’s handling of the Clinton email scandal and her foundation’s “pay-for-play.”
The full report, which can be read here, is 39-pages. It specifically states that McCabe lied several times when investigators asked him about his role in authorizing government leaks to the media.
It confirms that McCabe lied to investigators about leaks he authorized to the media during the 2016 presidential election.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe late last month after the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility revealed he lied at least four times when asked about directing leaks to help the Clinton campaign.
McCabe gave the green-light for his colleague to release sensitive information to a Wall Street Journal report in October 2016. He leaked information that downplayed the severity of the investigations into Clinton’s email scandal and foundation.
He was trying to mislead voters that Clinton never acted improperly or illegally, despite overwhelming evidence suggesting she did. The leak was intended to frame the bureau as merely looking into the allegations rather than actively investigating Clinton for carrying out a bevy of illegal actions.
Engulfed a plethora of scandals and having lied numerous times, Horowitz’s report explicitly states McCabe displayed egregious candor on more than one occasion that warranted his termination from the bureau.
Horowitz’s report further confirms that McCabe isn’t holier-than-thou, as the liberal media has endlessly claimed since he was fired.
He was a corrupt Clinton-ally who lied to investigators at least four times when questioned about leaking sensitive information to the media in order to help Clinton’s campaign.
