Democrats are laying the framework for impeachment in three committees in the House, and this weekend, both Adam Schiff and Jerrold Nadler went on liberal outlets to deliver ‘obstruction’ talking point, regardless of the fact that there is zero evidence of any wrongdoing on the part of Donald Trump, either as a candidate, or president.
Democrats’ first witness was convicted liar Michael Cohen, who again lied at least six times during last week’s testimony.
Their next witness is a Russian with a history of deep state involvement.
But, this is the person who will provide the ‘evidence’ for democrats’ obstruction case?
Sater pulled off a $40 million fraud against victims and was facing having to return the money and spend 20 years behind bars in 1998.
However, such a good pal of Clinton’s couldn’t actually be prosecuted, right?
Loretta Lynch stepped in a delivered a sweetheart deal for the professional criminal.
Lynch offered him “immunity” if he would turn state’s evidence.
And although, as required by law, the federal prosecutor is obligated to notify the victims of their rights and to get restitution, Lynch kept the deal a secret from the victims.
Sater was only ordered to pay a measly $25,000, and was allowed to keep the rest of the ill-gotten gains.
The Russian citizen is now being paraded as a ‘star’ witness against the president.
During her confirmation hearing, then Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch asked her about why she allowed for self-admitted criminals, like Sater, to be released as a trade-off to become government informants.
He also asked why she allowed for these convicted felons to continue to commit crimes against innocent people.
Ultimately, Sater’s only punishment for pilfering $40 million was a $25,000 fine. According to National Review, the attorney who aided Sater in getting a lighter sentence was Leslie Caldwell, Lynch’s former colleague in the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Caldwell later went on to head up the Justice Department’s criminal division.
In a statement to National Review, Lynch said that Sater:
…provided valuable and sensitive information to the government during the course of his cooperation, which began in or about December 1998. For more than 10 years, he worked with prosecutors from my Office, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and law enforcement agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies, providing information crucial to national security and the conviction of over 20 individuals, including those responsible for committing massive financial fraud and members of La Cosa Nostra. For that reason, his case was initially sealed…
The massive bait and switch being pulled off by congressional democrats is sickening. This ‘witness’ is a criminal buddy of the Clinton’s… how impartial, or even trustworthy is he?
Oh, yeah, Sater was a one-time business associate of Donald Trump. The media plans to throw dust in everyone’s eyes by only focusing on that one element, but leaving out his very strong connections to the Clintons.
