The organization responsible for the doubtful “intelligence” dossier on President Trump won’t answer investigators concerning their connections to Democrat Party leaders. The Senate Judiciary Committee has said that it will issue a subpoena to the research firm.
Fusion GPS refuses to answer inquiries about who financed the inaccurate intelligence report, which initially sparked the largely debunked Russia investigation. The firm calls itself a research and strategic intelligence provider, but congressional investigators say that’s not true.
It appears that the firm is an opposition-research task force for democrats. The founders are barely journalists, and activists who wanted Hillary to win the presidency. The dossier they released included a number of prominent falsehoods.
Rather than being an independent, credible agency, an official familiar with the report said, “These guys had a vested personal and ideological interest in smearing Trump and boosting Hillary’s chances of winning the White House.”
The corruption, duplicity, and nefarious influence of the company is staggering. Most people already suspect the Clinton’s of deception, treachery, and venality, so the conduct of Democrat funded Fusion GPS simply confirms another instance of their total depravity.
Although the company asserts that it was founded by “three former Wall Street Journal investigative reporters,” the truth of that proclamation is suspect. Each of the firm’s founders has close ties to democrats and specifically vested interests in seeing Trump fail.
Co-founder and partner Peter R. Fritsch contributed to two of Hillary’s campaign funds, and federal election disclosures also show that his wife provided funding for Mrs. Clinton’s nefarious presidential run.
Fritsch served as the Wall Street Journal’s bureau chief in Mexico City. His wife was a former executive at Grupo Dina, a large vehicle manufacturer that gains benefits from NAFTA. Trump has made no secret about his opinion of that deal.
Another partner, Thomas Catan is a former editor for a Mexican business magazine who grew up in England. The third founding partner, Glenn Simpson did opposition research for Clinton administration operatives.
The list of liberal backers for the “intelligence” firm is long and varied. It was on the payroll of an unidentified Clinton confederate when it hired retired spy Christopher Steele to complete the Trump file. In 2015, Planned Parenthood paid Fusion GPS to look into the lives of pro-lifers protesting the abortion factory.
In fact, there are now suspicions that the FBI colluded with the firm to derail Trump. The judiciary committee is investigating whether the Bureau relied on the debunked dossier to aid its Trump investigation. Congress wants to see all FBI communications with Steele.
The dossier included a jumble of ridiculous and outlandish accusations. One claimed that democrat hackers were being “paid by both Trump’s team and the Kremlin.” Another statement falsely said that Trump hated the Obama’s so much that he hired prostitutes to defile their bed at Moscow Ritz-Carlton.
Not one of the accusations were confirmed. Steele suggested that Trump “silenced” any witnesses. There was also an accusation against Michael Cohen in a meeting in Prague. Of course, he never went to Prague, so it was also shown to be a concocted story. The entire report has been proven an invention, but Fusion paid $250,000 for the imaginary information.
The FBI got the file in August, and democrats started handing it around like candy in September 2016. The bureau allegedly paid Steele $50,000 to help corroborate the disreputable information. Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) says that the relationship developed by the FBI “raises substantial questions about the independence” and neutrality of the government agency.
Trump has had to weather continued abuse by democrat liars. Hopefully Senate investigators can make sense of the overwhelming amount of corruption. They are demanding to see every communications between Fusion GPS, Steele, and the FBI.
The committee has particularly requested evidence of any contacts with former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe. Both are under congressional investigation already, and both are failing to cooperate. Lynch is facing questions concerning her obstruction of justice during the Hillary email probe. McCabe is the person identified as the official who negotiated the deal with Steele.
The point that is troubling lawmakers is why anyone actually believed the dossier. Even the CIA attached it to a Top Secret intelligence briefing for Obama on Russia, and the FBI has repeatedly used it to investigate leads on Trump associates.
Liberals love it. The leftist media considers it sacrosanct, and frequently uses the unproven file to support their continued fake news about Russia. With the kind of opposition and downright assaults fired at him every single day, it’s easy to wonder why President Trump ever ran for office.
The only thing that makes sense is that he really does want to make America great again, and the only way to do it is to continually stand against the forces of destruction salivating to destroy him.
Judiciary Committee members have been trying to overcome the steady stonewalling they’ve faced related to testimony and evidence. If required, subpoenas will be issued soon for the democrat “research” group that is really a character assassination company.
With the dossier proven false, yet again, President Trump has come out on top; a fact that must seriously bother liberal cheaters.
