Making threats against the President of the United States is enough to get anyone interviewed by the secret service. All politicians should know that. Unfortunately, a state senator from Missouri forgot then when she posted a message going “I hope Trump is assassinated.”
Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal (D-University City) took down the message, but not before word of it spread. She claims the comments came from a source of frustration over the events of the Charlottesville rallies. She has since apologized.
So calling for the assassination of the leader of the United States is warranted? It’s indefensible for ANYONE to call for the killing of a leader, especially a politician like Chappelle-Nadal. Even her own Democratic Party agrees as a top leader condemned the remarks quickly, saying she “should be ashamed of herself.”
KCTV has confirmed she is now under investigation by Secret Service.
