It is clear when someone is in deep trouble, particularly on the world stage, as allies and friends start to pull away or even attack their usual buddies. Politico is one of the most left-leaning, Democrat biased news outlets to ever exist. However, they have rightfully attacked House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) over her stance regarding the disgraced (and perhaps senile) Senator John Conyers (D-MI).
The Democrat-favoring outlet wrote that Representative Kathleen Rice (D-NY) has declared that what Pelosi said about Conyers “set women back and — quite frankly, our party back — decades.” It is good to see that, while the opposing side doesn’t agree with the Democrats on much, that there are still some on the left with a sense of fairness as Pelosi’s comments go viral.
Readers of the Conservative Daily Post will remember that the Minority Leader called Conyers an “icon“ even after he admitted to holding back the progress of women who did not desire to have sexual relations with him.
Rice is endorsing legislation that would expose the settlements that lawmakers and others have made, particularly as it relates to sex.
“I think that we ceded the moral high ground on Sunday when our leader said on ‘Meet the Press’ that John Conyers was an icon and we don’t even know who these women are, when she was fully aware that the woman in question was bound by a nondisclosure agreement,” said the New York liberal.
Showing that she is a Democrat with an agenda, however, Rice attacked Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore when she added, “I think we had an opportunity to stake that moral high ground when you have a president who is supporting a man for Senate who — all credible allegations that have not been refuted — showed him to be a predator of teenage girls.”
Moore has claimed all along that he is innocent and is suing the outlet which pushed what he calls a fake news story.
Pelosi is now saying that her comments were taken out of context and that she supports what Rice is trying to do.
Then again, Pelosi is likely to say anything when she feels cornered.
At least one Democrat is willing to call her out on it, too. Sadly, she is doing it for all of the wrong reasons.
