When taxes and global warming fees began to rise, those who had read and understood the threats found in United Nations white papers knew what was happening. The U.N. has long said that limiting travel in the United States was a goal and to control mobility and movement on a global scale was on their agenda. They even called it one such paper, “Agenda 21.”
Now Fox News is reporting that fees to get into Washington D.C. are as high as $40 “during the morning rush.” That is most of what some people make in a whole day! It is known that both commuters and politicians alike were outraged as the liberal policies so many of them have foolishly supported really kick in.
I-66 has a new tolling plan that “opens up express lanes on the highway in northern Virginia to single drivers, as opposed to just carpoolers.” This should have always been the case with no extra tolls. People pay taxes once, so technically speaking, this is illegal double taxation in action.

“This is #highwayrobbery. People are just trying to get to work. What happened to a government FOR THE PEOPLE. I’m appalled,” tweeted one Twitter user.
“Just go ahead & change its name to I-$66,” said Brandon Howell, a speechwriter and fellow D.C. commuter on Twitter.
Fox writes that the “tolls are in effect from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. local time eastbound, and 3:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. westbound” and that travel is free at other times, but this is of no help to anyone.
“It’s dynamically priced…basically that’s an algorithm that measures congestion, and as the congestion increases the toll increases, and as the congestion goes down, the toll decreases,” was the cop-out given by Virginia Department of Transportation Tolling Division Administrator David Caudill as he spoke to WTOP News.
There you see, it is not about picking one’s pocket for the state. No, it is just about keeping traffic moving and everyone safe. Does anyone buy this logic?

What right does the government have to force carpooling or to punish those who don’t? What say should they have since the roads are paid for by the people? The authorities are supposed to open the roads to us 24/7 without question (unless they are being repaired) and there should be no tolls or demands put on anyone.
Those skirting the carpooling lane when solo can face a $250 fine due to an injustice that has no legal merit to even be on the books as a law.
However, the people are asleep at the wheel and are allowing virtually any yoke that Big Brother wants to put on them to remain. Until we simply refuse to pay in droves – shut down D.C. if he must – this will keep happening.
As a matter of fact, they are counting on it.
