Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg cut off police access to a database that is essential to criminal investigations after they criticized her actions.
In response, the Democrat attorney issued a memo stating assistant district attorneys would no longer allow police to access the investigative database regarding court cases.
“DA’s office playing politics w/public safety and endangering Houstonians by denying our detectives access to a very important database. They are specifically targeting HPD, every other agency in HC still has access,” HPOU President Joe Gamaldi wrote in a tweet on Tuesday:

HPD became very critical of Ogg after she began launching unauthorized orders demanding officers be more lenient toward criminals, illegal immigrants, and those incarcerated.
As of Monday, more than 5,200 HPD officers lost access to the Consolidated Criminal History Database, which lists suspect data such as crime victims and criminal histories.
Ogg is nothing more than a lawless Democrat who is playing games with the safety of Houston citizens because she didn’t like being criticized.
Had she honored her commitment to law-abiding Americans, she never would have been criticized by police officers.
Instead, she is using the liberal media to claim criminals and illegals deserve more leniency in their cases.
The Houston Police Department has made it clear they will continue to keep the community safe, but it will be very hard when their own AD is blocking them from a crucial database.
Ogg should be removed from office for her treasonous actions.
