Comey Clams Up

Comey Largely Refused To Answer Congress’ Questions

During the seven hours of behind closed doors testimony, James Comey largely refused to answer lawmakers’ questions on the advice of attorneys.

James Comey avoided answering almost every question, thanks to his lawyers.

Yesterday, former FBI Director James Comey spoke to congressional lawmakers about the cover up of Hillary Clinton’s email scandal, but according to sources, the career official clammed up.

After fighting a subpoena issued months ago, Comey was finally forced to give in and appear before House investigators, but the general lack of answers showed that he has no intention of putting his own head, or anyone else’s, in the political noose.

California Rep. Darrell Issa said Comey showed ‘gleeful acceptance’ of his lawyers’ instruction not to answer the most pertinent questions regarding his actions in exonerating Clinton before she had even been interviewed in the investigation.

After the appearance, Comey said “we’re talking about Hillary Clinton’s emails, for heaven’s sake, so I’m not sure we needed to do this at all.”

Actually, many people feel strongly that this ‘needs to be done,’ including a federal District Court judge who yesterday ordered the reopening of the inquiry about how the Justice Department and State Department handled the Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.

Issa reported that the Justice Department lawyer repeatedly instructed Comey not to answer “a great many questions that are clearly items at the core of our investigation.”

After the meeting ended, President Trump tweeted “it is being reported that Leakin’ James Comey was told by Department of Justice attorneys not to answer the most important questions. Total bias and corruption at the highest levels of previous Administration. Force him to answer the questions under oath!”

The inspector general said Comey was “insubordinate” in his handling of the Clinton email investigation.

He did not charge Clinton with a crime, and texts show the Bureau was very careful in how it worded the dismissal despite the fact that ‘careless’ ignorance is not an excuse for the actions Clinton took with classified information.

Issa added, “The Department of Justice is going to have to agree to allow him to come back and answer a great many questions that currently he is not answering.”

Democrats are circling the wagons, claiming that Comey answered everything, and that the move was designed to distract from Mueller’s enclosure of Trump.

However, people who actually read the truth, not the media narrative, know that nothing Mueller has done has implicated the president in any way.

The level of corruption prevalent in the Obama administration seems to continue to rule, many people agree, as Comey answered nothing, and America is no closer to actually prosecuting treasonous actions that it was two years ago.
