CNN Gets An Answer Never Planned On From Border Agent
The Department Of Homeland Security is working to keep families together during detainment.
CNN got told the truth and the host looked utterly foolish.
CNN got it wrong once again. The network more famous for the word “fake” than any other news organization tried to bait a border agent into condemning the living conditions of children whose parents were criminals, but failed, as the Conservative Tribune has confirmed today.
According to the Daily Caller, host Brooke Baldwin referred to “these children being ripped from their parents” whilst speaking to a spokesman for the National Border Patrol Council named Chris Cabrera, and he was ready with an answer. “I understand where you’re coming from. I don’t think everybody understands what is actually happening down here. You have a lot of these kids that are coming here and put through terrible, terrible situations by their parents. They are brought over in extremely dangerous conditions and extremely dangerous terrain,” he said.
America, he feels has become a beacon for attracting illegal crossings with harmful laws that Congress must change.
He rightfully placed the blame where it belongs. The U.S. is not to blame for going after the criminal parents, the criminal parents are wrong for trying to illegally enter the nation.
“All this could be avoided if they just go through the port of entry. There would be no crime committed by them and they wouldn’t get separated. Why they don’t do this is beyond me, but this problem is very easily solved, at least on the short-term basis, by going through the port of entry. If they choose to go through the (Rio Grande) river, they’re committing a crime just like anyone else and they’re subject to arrest. And we know when you get arrested, you don’t get to stay with your family,” the spokesperson also continued.
This is the same point that has been mentioned often and yet liberals are deaf to the logic.
Baldwin then talked about families who are turned away at the border when they try to enter legally and called that an “indefinite delay.”
The border agent replied, “We’ve had this situation going on for four years now. I don’t think you can necessarily blame it on one administration or the other. It started under one and is continuing under another. It hasn’t been fixed and it needs to be fixed.”
When the CNN host tried to cut him off, he simply kept talking and added, “Right now we have this beacon of, ‘We’ll leave the light on for you and let you come illegally into the country.’ If you’ve seen some of the stuff we’ve seen, you’d understand how important it is to have a tough stance to divert people from coming here.”
Cabrera showed, also, how the parents are using the children as a means to “take advantage of this system.” He added, “When you see a 12-year-old girl with a plan B pill, her parents put her on birth control because they know getting violated is part of the journey, that’s a terrible way to live. When you see a 4-year-old girl traveling alone with just her parents’ phone number written across her shirt. Something needs to be done. We had a 9-year-old boy [sic] have heat stroke in front of us and die with no family around. That’s because we’re allowing people to continue take advantage of this system.”
Congress, he showed, can make this horror vanish by changing the law that is attracting the problem. “They need to come in there, they need to get to work and they need to change this law. Until then, us as border patrol agents, we have a duty to enforce these laws and we will continue to do it until they change this law and hopefully they will.”
When asked by CNN how the children are being treated and if everything was humane, Cabrera said, “I can tell you with absolute certainty that they are being treated humanely. Most of our agents are parents. I’ve seen guys, and I’ve done it myself, you give your last bottle of water to a kid, you’ll take a toy out of your car to give to one of these kids because you know the situation they’re in.”
He also declared, “Agents are very sympathetic. We’re human, we’re fathers, we have families. We do a lot for the communities here, whether or not a camera is involved. Our agents are very involved. And nobody saves more lives along the southwestern border than the U.S. Border patrol.”
Meanwhile, “Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen has drafted executive orders,” according to the Western Journal, which would not end the zero-tolerance policy of illegal immigration but would keep families united. No one can, therefore, say that the Trump administration is not working to solve the problem that existed before he was ever in D.C.
So, while CNN did what they always do, the facts came out in spite of them. As is often the case, it left them looking quite foolish for attacking and assuming the worst about the border agents and Mr. Trump, but at least the facts were told.
