Just recently, the leaders of a so-called “progressive-minded” church in Santa Cruz, California apparently signed a lease for a new building, which used to be a bookstore called “Logos Bookstore,” and reportedly sold their former building. Shockingly, they have since revealed that instead of turning the closed bookstore into a brand new, beautiful church, they supposedly plan on converting it into a brewery called the “Greater Purpose Brewing Company” and expect to only hold worship services on Sundays.
What’s worse, Christopher VanHall, who is the pastor of the group, purportedly told reporters, quite disturbingly, that the church is also planning on donating some of the money they expect to make from what many would view as a sinful drinking establishment to something even more sinful, making it unclear how they can even call themselves a “church” anymore.
“A woman’s right to choose is something most churches are silent on or opposed to, but that’s not where we stand in the faith community,” asserted Pastor VanHall while speaking to reporters about their support for slaughtering unborn children.
“We hope to be an absolute conundrum for people walking by,” he continued, adding, “a church that serves beer and gives the profits away to places like Planned Parenthood is really exciting to me.”
However, while VanHall and his confused followers may view supporting the killing of helpless fetuses as “exciting,” countless other Christians would recognize such an act as fundamentally immoral and inconsistent with God’s teachings in the Bible. This is due to the fact that abortion destroys a “living, unique human being [that was] made in the image of God.”
To clarify, in Proverbs 6:16-19, God made it clear that he absolutely detests the shedding of innocent blood.
When asked how he came up with the idea to give some of their money to what countless people consider to be a barbaric organization, VanHall told reporters that he had been trying to figure out a way to make money to then split with the local community.
“I thought to myself, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if a church could figure out a way to make a product where they split profits with local community service organizations?’” the pastor explained.
“And we were like, ‘Hey, we love beer. We love making beer. Why not do a brewery?’” he continued.
“Giving people the opportunity to ‘pour with a purpose’—knowing every pint you drink goes to a charitable cause—was very attractive to me,” he added, noting, “one of the most common things that bubbles up in conversation with nonprofits is their lack of funding.”
By saying this, VanHall appeared to be suggesting that Planned Parenthood currently suffers from funding issues. Many would insist that such a claim, however, is utterly absurd due to the fact that they are currently getting an obscene amount of money from private sales and taxpayer funds.
According to reports, their most recent annual report purportedly showed “a record income of $1.46 billion, with about half a billion dollars coming from taxpayers.”
Sadly, VanHall and his followers are not the only ones determined to make slaughtering unborn children as easy as possible.
A few days ago, for instance, the Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF), which is a pro-choice nonprofit group focused on promoting abortion, claimed in a tweet on Twitter that abortion is an “economic justice” issue because it supposedly helps make “jobs, housing, education, and wealth equity” more accessible for women.
Specifically, PPAF tweeted, “abortion is an economic justice issue, as [Sikivu Hutchinson] puts its [sic], ‘a vital pathway that affords women access to jobs, housing, education, and wealth equity when they’re in control of their bodies and destinies.’ #NoGagRule.”
A couple of weeks before that, Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands purportedly sued the state of Idaho over a law making it a requirement for licensed abortion clinics, hospitals, and physicians to file a thorough report any time there’s an abortion complication.
While medical officials are still expected to keep the identity of their patients private, the new law mandates that they provide “the age and race of the patient, state and country of residence, and [the] number of previous pregnancies, births, and abortions of the patient.”
In addition to this, the new law makes it a requirement to also include “the gestational age of the unborn baby, [the] abortion method used, and identification of the physician” in the report.
While this may seem like common sense to many, the Planned Parenthood branch apparently believes that the law is “convoluted” and doesn’t do enough to prevent the release of women’s private medical information.
Thankfully, though, while some supposed Christians are promoting the slaughter of helpless fetuses, others are actively working to stop the ending of innocent life.
For example, several days ago, Father Fidelis Moscinski, Father Dave Nix, Will Goodman, and a woman identified only as “Baby Jane Doe,” were recently arrested while conducting a “Red Rose Rescue” which involves entering a death clinic to distribute red roses and quietly speak with and pray for women who are thinking about getting an abortion at a well-known clinic in Washington, DC.
Hopefully, VanHall and his followers eventually come to view abortion as being inconsistent with Christianity and decide to donate money to groups that actually align with Christian values. To ensure that this happens, pro-life Christians should actively speak out against their disturbing plan.
