Abortion rights have been the subject of controversy for many years. Since Roe v. Wade in the early 70’s, both sides have held strong and often emotional opinions about this sensitive subject. Many argue the right to choose without limitations, others say that no abortions should be allowed. Somewhere in the middle is responsible birth control and intelligent decisions about women’s health.
Planned Parenthood is often at the center of this debate. Besides providing about 35% of the birth control for women in a year, they also perform about 300,000 abortions each year. Currently they are challenging abortion restrictions in 3 different states.
- Alaska, more than 40 years ago, banned abortion in outpatient health centers (which included Planned Parenthood) after the first trimester of pregnancy. The abortion-rights lawyers say this forces many women to make lengthy out-of-state trips for second-trimester procedures; Planned Parenthood alone says it sends about 30 women out of state each year to get abortions.
- Missouri has laws similar to those that the high court struck down in Texas. They require abortion clinics to meet physical standards for surgical centers and mandate that their doctors have admitting privileges in nearby hospitals.
- North Carolina has a law that prevents doctors from performing abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy with a narrow exception for immediate medical emergencies. The ACLU said this ban forces doctors caring for a woman with a high-risk pregnancy to delay necessary care until her condition imposes an immediate threat of death or major medical damage.
Planned Parenthood is fighting all these and other in what they call a need to protect woman’s right to have an abortion, often late term ones. Their methods and ideologies have come under fire for a complete new level of horror.
The House Energy & Commerce Committee’s Select Investigative Panel decided to refer the Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast to the Texas attorney general for criminal prosecution due to its selling of aborted baby parts.
These frightening allegations surfaced in when the Center for Medical Progress unveiled its undercover investigations into Planned Parenthood’s trafficking of baby organs. At one particular site, the Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in Houston, Texas, undercover actors found that employees were hiding masking the sale of fetal issue by using “accounting gimmicks.”
Hidden footage of these investigation shows Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, describing how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted unborn children and admitting she uses partial-birth abortions to supply intact body parts.
In the video, Nucatola is at a business lunch with actors posing as buyers from a human biologics company. As head of PPFA’s Medical Services department, she oversees medical practice at all Planned Parenthood locations. She also trains new Planned Parenthood abortion doctors and performs abortions herself at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles up to 24 weeks.
Nucatola admits that Planned Parenthood charges per-specimen for baby body parts, uses illegal partial-birth abortion procedures in order to get salable parts, and is aware of their own liability for doing so and takes steps to cover it up.
She continues to describe the process in shocking and cold details. “I’d say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most providers will do this under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps. The kind of rate-limiting step of the procedure is calvarium. Calvarium—the head—is basically the biggest part.”
Nucatola explains, “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
“And with the calvarium, in general, some people will actually try to change the presentation so that it’s not vertex,” she continues. “So if you do it starting from the breech presentation, there’s dilation that happens as the case goes on, and often, the last step, you can evacuate an intact calvarium at the end.”
She seems to display no remorse for her actions or the fact that she is directing thousands of others in how to do this harvesting in the proper way. It goes without saying that this type of sale is illegal. Federal law prohibits the sale of body parts of aborted babies. In fact, the sale or purchase of human fetal tissue a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $500,000.
The video is by The Center for Medical Progress in its “Human Capital” series. It has operated a nearly 3-year-long investigative study of Planned Parenthood’s illegal trafficking of fetal parts.

The head of the project is David Daleiden. Operation Rescue President Troy Newman advised Daleiden during this project. Newman serves on the Board of the Center for Medical Progress. You can find the entire video, pictures and more at the group’s website.
“Abortionists use ultrasound like a butcher uses scales to sell meat by the pound for profit,” said Newman, “Evidence further shows that Planned Parenthood has gone to great lengths to keep the public from ever knowing about their illicit human body-parts trade, understanding that if news were to leak, it could spell doom for the abortion giant.”
The release of this video and the suggestion to pursue charges are just the beginning. Planned Parenthood is attempting to widen its operations and the government should be dedicated to limiting them as much as possible. This investigation has proven that they will make money by the vilest way necessary and it has nothing to do with the health of the mother or baby.
David Daleiden says it very well, “Planned Parenthood’s criminal conspiracy to make money off of aborted baby parts reaches to the very highest levels of their organization. Elected officials must listen to the public outcry for Planned Parenthood to be held accountable to the law and for our tax dollars to stop underwriting this barbaric abortion business.”
